Love – same here, laid back and very autonomous.  I have made so many friends and the vibe here is so much better than my previous jobs.  The work also comes in waves, sometimes very slow, sometimes extremely fast paced, which I like but I know some people hate the really slow and hate the really busy periods.

Hate – I wish I made more $$ of course… I don’t like my commute, either (1.5 hours by train).

Cleaning toilets is not an ideal job per se… but the hours are great, (early mornings 2:00 am – 7:00 am ish) and I get to stalk weddingbee during the day! And I don’t like to mess with it, cause nobody else has these types of hours for me if I do anything else!

My job is fine.  I get paid well enough for what I do.  My favorite part of my job is that it’s really flexible.  That is very helpful as a mom.

I love my job, for the most part. I hate the pay (though it’s not something horrendous, that’s for sure), but it’s easy work, I get great benefits, and I love (most) of the people here. I will also never going to be fired, unless I do something stupid like rob a load of money from them, so job security is another huge plus.

I like my job! I wouldn’t say I LOVE it, but it’s better than “okay” 🙂 It’s not particularly fulfilling per se, but I have a lot of respect from colleagues, a fantastic boss, flexible schedule, and lots of great benefits. I’ve been here for over two years, and I’m happy, but don’t see myself staying here after the five year mark. I need something where I feel like I’m making a difference! I am thankful for a decent job, and steady paycheck though. 🙂

I hate my job. The work environment is not good for me and the people are persistent back stabbers. The pay is good enough and the benefits are alright. I’m looking for something else in the meantime.

Since having to quit my well-paying job near the end of my first year of marriage to finally relocate to another state to be with my Darling Husband and his children full time, I have not yet found a job in my field in this area.

On the one hand, I am quite busy with my new “jobs” of being a pastor’s wife, stepmother, homemaker, volunteer, (and now grandmother, since DH’s oldest child is married and has a baby); however, I definitely miss the mental stimultion, professional satisfaction, and high income that I enjoyed with my former career.

I have no idea what type of work I will end up doing in this much more rural area of the country, but, at some point, I need to earn some money, and I would love to be able to use my education, work experience, and skill set in whatever job I eventually find.

    @Happy Hopeful Bee:

Love – my coworkers are great for the most part, my boss doesn’t mico-manage me. The pay is really good. Still have lots to learn and we’re getting really busy and I’m about to get a whole lot more experience. Easy to flex time and take time off.

Cons – I am really not passionate about the work I do. I can use my brain but it’s not exactly my dream job. Then again other than running my own business (working on it on the side) I am not sure what job I’d actually LIKE. It’s about to get very stressful w. the new work that’s coming.

I hate my job and am constantly looking for a new one:

Love: I have a job.. My co-workers are pretty cool, sometimes

Hate: Everything else.. I work in a call center, servicing student loans, it’s awful. My shift stinks, and it doesn’t allow any time for me and FH to spend together because our shifts conflict. I am continuously searching for something better (with a better shift) but nothing has come up yet *sigh*

Love: Having my own office, working at a small university, event planning, down time

Hate: The pay, my evil, micromanaging boss, worthless supervisor, the commute

I’m finally in a job that I love after 2.5 years in a job I hated!

Love – The atmosphere of being in a casual lab on a college campus, the people I work with, and the information/experiments we study!

Hate – The pay.  I took almost a 50% pay cut to take this job and, considering it is academic research, it is never really going to pay well.

I voted that my job is okay but I’m looking for a new one.

Love: Laid back atmosphere, flexible hours, hands-off boss.

Hate: The pay (sucks), my coworkers, and the lack of good management that leads to me being taken advantage of.
