I’m so excited! We went to look at a house on Wednesday, loved it, and handed in the application I had worked on in case we liked it. We heard back that same afternoon that we were accepted!
Currently, I spend 4 nights a week at SO’s place, and the rest of the week at my parent’s. This will be the first time I’ve ever completely moved out, so it’s a huge step for me. I will be sad to leave the family home, but I’m super excited to be taking this big step with SO (And I’m only a couple of minutes from my parents anyway).
I’m so bummed though – SO works weekends, and he has the muscles, so it’s best to move during the week (he doesn’t get paid if he doesn’t work, so it’s not an option for him to take weekends off). I tried to get people to cover for me at work, but I’ve had no luck – I can have one day off and there’s one more person I’m waiting to hear back from about another day in that week. It just seems like when people can’t make it in and we’re short staffed, we just have to deal with it. I guess I’m just feeling disappointed, not only will I miss out on the moving experience, but SO has to do it on his own- he may be able to get some friends to help, but I really wanted to be part of it 🙁
(It’s all happened quickly – SO’s new neighbour is dealing drugs, and he stresses out when I’m here by myself while he’s at work. We certainly didn’t expect it to happen this quickly – I was ready to have applications rejected!)
