we got married at the cathedral downtown and had our reception at the 20th century women's club in eagle rock.

La Venta Inn but I checked out a lot of places....Santa Monica, Palos Verdes, Malibu and a few in Santa Barbara etc.
It was a lot more difficult than I thought to find a place to host a small wedding (less than 40ppl)
My dream locations to get married in would be the Humingbird Ranch in Simi Valley or Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu..
Sherwood Country Club in thousand oaks,it was my first choice by pictures but when i did the tour i knew it was my venue

We are having our ceremony and reception at The Westlake Village Inn...The Lakeside gazebo for the ceremony and The Lakeside room for our reception.

We had our reception at The Masonic Temple in Pasadena. I LOVE it there because the rental fee includes the tables, chairs & security guards. They also have an in-house caterer whose food is amazing and is very affordable. You don't have to use him but it an option. Outside catering is welcome and they have a HUGE kitchen which you can use. The best part is that you can bring in your own alcohol! This place is HUGE and can accomodate a large wedding....separate room for the bar and/or buffet or ? The entrance also has a huge area to hang out if you want to get away for a moment from the ball room area. It is honestly the best place for the price. Only $3,500 to rent on a Saturday.
We had our wedding at the Legendary Park Plaza in downtown LA. I knew it was my venue as soon as I walked in. We checked out other venues after that but none of them felt as right.
Looked at beach front and ocean view venues from Laguna Beach up to Pismo Beach, but we went with Calamigos Ranch in Malibu for both ceremony and reception. No ocean view but it was too gorgeous to pass up!
We are getting married at the Darlington House in La Jolla! It fit our aesthetic perfectly! Romantic, classic, and intimate.

We're getting married at the chapel at Loyola Marymount University, then having our reception in Marina del Rey. I can't wait!
For a San Diego bride, do you think it would be too far to plan a wedding in Malibu? I've seen photos of Saddlerock and Calamigos and they're beautiful, but I haven't dared to go into Venture Country due to the distance :/

We had our ceremony and reception at Seven Degrees in Laguna Beach. We fell in love with the venue as soon as they showed us their presentation.

We're having both ceremony and reception at Twin Oaks House and Gardens in San Marcos! I love it more than I can even convey. :) We live in LA though, so I thought it still counts :)
I am aiming for Convict Lake. I would be happy with pretty much anything in the Sierras.
First time I got married, it was at Middle Ranch Lodge in Lake View Terrace. (LA)
