@Italiadg: Do you have specific criteria? As in guestcount, outdoor/indoor?
LA is mostly going to be expensive... but if you go out to the inland empire, you can probably find something in a better price range... I live in Temecula. The area is BEAUTIFUL. Our venue site is not too bad on price but it isnt anywhere need LA... whisperingoaksterrace.com
Good Luck!
There are a lot of places in LA that are inexpensive. But I don't know how many people you are inviting. Do you want in or out? All in place or are you going to get married in a church first?
Off the top of my head though, The Sportsman's Lodge is an old-school classic and has nice grounds for pics. You could try one of the college campuses, like Loyola (gorgeous with ocean views) or UCLA. They have facility rooms and pretty grounds and are really reasonable.
We got married and had our reception at the Tam O' Shanter (recently featured on Emeril:) and it's very reasonable. Our theme was Scottish, so the place was perfect for us.
So, just a few suggestions, without knowing a thing about your budget or guest list:)
you have to give us more information about your requirements. Number of guests, indoor or out, what sort of vibe, any other specific requirments.
My apologies!
We are having between 75-100 guests. We want the ceremony and reception at the same location and love the ideas of having something outdoors.
We want to stay away from the standard ballroom, traditional-esque venues. Smog Shoppe is awesome but a bit higher than we can spend on site fees!
Thanks for your suggestions so far! I really appreaciate your help and am checking them all out asap!
Try Wedgewood Banquets...
They have all inclusive packages (they're not necessarily in LA Area...but they're very reasonably priced) $67.00 per person which includes the following-
(We are having a Sunday Wedding by the way...)
Here's the website-

Wedding Ceremony/Reception Total of 5 hours (the FI and I are paying for an extra hour so we're having 6 hours total)
Wedding Invitations
Bar Napkins
Toasting Flutes
Centerpieces
Cake
1 hour Hosted Bar during Cocktail Hour
6 stationed and/or passed hor d'euveres
Buffet dinner (8 salads, 2 main courses & 1 carving station)
Try The Music Box. They have a rooftop terrace that you can have your ceremony at while they set up the reception downstairs. My sister just went to a wedding there and it looked like a great space!
