I definitely find I start to go crazy before seeing FI. I start to not be able to sleep at night, which just makes it that much worse!!
As far as staying sane... who are we kidding? There is no sanity when it comes to LDR countdowns!
i feel your pain! MIne beau is 8000miles away...where's yours? I try to keep myself distracted and busy...not easy though!
Same here! My SO comes home in 12 days and it gets harder to focus on everything else (ie, my schoolwork!) when the date approaches. I'm trying to keep a goal of finishing my dissertation proposal AND cleaning my whole apartment top to bottom before he gets here and hopefully that will keep me busy!
Maybe you should make a list of specific goals you want to accomplish before he comes home? It's dual purpose - you get things done (I am SO satisfied crossing tasks off my list!) and you'll hopefully have a bit more time when he's visiting!
I know the feeling. During the last week before I see him I dye my hair, get my hair cut if it needs it, I paint my nails, get my eyebrows waxed, do all of my laundry, plan all of my outfits, pack and I used to use a self tanner. That normally keeps me fairly busy. :)

Thanks ladies! It's nice to know it's not just me. @cjfs he is on an aircraft carrier in the ocean, so the distance changes regularly. He's FINALLY back in the States though so that's exciting, except now I can't talk to him :( That's not so exciting. I am trying to get ahead with all my school work so I can spend time with him the entire time he is here. I actually worked late today just to keep myself distracted! Today is 9 days so it's getting closer!

I am going crazy right now! I get to see his face after seven months in 10 days and the wait seems unbearable now! He just recently had his phone turned back on and I got to enjoy texting him for a couple days and see his name on my phone when he called, but now he's back underway and things are so crazy for him right now that he really can't even email me! I don't even know what to do with myself. I know I should be concentrating on school, but I'm too distracted right now. These next 10 days are going to be tortuous! Does anyone else find it get harder to wait when the date gets closer? What do you do to stay sain?
