The inside of my right ankle is completely swollen. It’s not even my whole foot. It actually looks like someone slipped a flat balloon in there and pumped air into it. It doesn’t hurt and I don’t remember doing anything to it. I first noticed it last night and then this morning it had gone down a bit. But now it’s even worse. It doesn’t just look like it’s puffy. It looks inflated. And I have no clue why or how to fix it, as I’ve been doing ibuprofen and ice since last night.

@paula1248: Hmm…possibly. I didn’t even think of anything like that. It randomly just…deflated, like 30 minutes ago. Then it came back and now it’s gone again, but now the same is going on with my inner left ankle. It’s just bizarre and I cannot figure out what is making it go away, let alone come back. I can’t see any bites, but I’ll get the fiancé to check the places I can’t see. Thank you for the suggestion!

I’ve had that sort of swelling and couldn’t see a bite. I can’t say for sure it was a bite but I knew I hadn’t sprained anything, and it sort of “itched” like a bite or bee sting does.
If it’s happening to both your ankles though, and there is no itch, it sounds like something else.
