I see a faint line, and it could be so faint because 9-10 dpo is really early to get a positive at all. Did  you check it at the time the instructions said to? If so, I would guess that you’re pregnant – but I would also retest in 2 days or so when you are more likely to get a clearer result.

I see that light line, but I don’t trust blue dye tests at all.  Really, they should just stop making them, they are notorious for false positives.  I’d say go buy a FRER (First Response pink dye test) and test again tomorrow morning with your first morning urine.  You should get a more reliable result that way.

    Good luck!

lindseywink:  I agree with SadieBee. I’ve heard nothing but negative things about blue dye tests. I do see a line but would test with a FRER too.

Blue dye tests are the devil!  I agree- go get a FRER and retest tomorrow or in a few days!

lindseywink:  I didn’t know about blue dye unreliability either… hence my earlier response. Good luck!

SadieBee:  I’m confused… i was always told (by dr’s, moms, others) that a false postive is practically impossible…   is it jsut blue dye? and pink is better?

But if they are unreliable, this is good to know!

Blue Dye tests are notorius for false +’s – it happened to me last a year BUT I will add that the line that popped up was’nt as wide as yours is showing, it was much thinner and harder to see.

Test with a pink dye or digi in the morning, I bet it will be +. Good Luck!

robynrox47:  technically with blue dye tests it’s generally not a true false positive, but rather an evap.  The problem is that it’s really hard to tell the difference on a blue dye tethere it’s easy to tell the difference between pink and gray, but not blue and gray. But false positives are possible, just not common.

lindseywink:  Yep. If you search my threads I did. I used a Clearblue plus at 8dpo, it was so faint you could hardly see it. I am definitely pregnant.

lindseywink:  YES me last week lol…. I had a clear blue early test and after reading all the ladies on here saying they arnt good I went out and bought some pink ones and decided to use it just for funzies…..I was 9DPO and was NOT expecting anything I was just ansy to POAS so I said why not and just get rid of it lol…. well to my surprise I had a super faint line…..FREAKING OUT at 9DPO so I drank more water and POAS again but a FRER pink test and got another faint line….. I waited until the next day and tested with 2 other FRER’s as well as a FRER digital and ALL positive…. the lines were much more defined the second day and I got a yes+ on the digital. Your lines may not darken for a few days everyones diff.
