Gwendolyn88: How would you feel about a long dress at one ceremony and a short dress at the other? Would that feel like you? Would you feel married? BTW, I love your ceremonies – they sound great!!!!!

Gwendolyn88: As a former goth i had issues with this too. Dress was the hardest part for me. I looked at short, then long, and eventually just decided id wear a colorful one instead. After talking with my husband and he told me even though he fell in love with me while I was goth he would love to see me in a white more traditional dress I was stuck. When i went to try a dress on, i knew white wasnt for me ( im fair skinned and i looked washed out in every one i tried) I tried champeign and blush and everything the store had and eventually found that one dress that was perfect. Me, yet i knew my future husband would love it too. This is what I ended up with

Id suggest TRY. Go to a salon and try on a tea length dress ( most have at least one i believe) and then try a long one, see how you feel. It never hurts to try! Good luck!

You can’t go wrong with a short or long dress- you should choose what you like best. If you’re going to Boston, you should go to Vows. Try on some long dresses and see if you like them better than the Dolly Couture dress. The Vows dresses are samples, so if you fall in love with one, you can take it home that day.

Do whatever you want!

I will say, my best friend got her dress made by dolly couture and it’s BEAUTIFUL. Its a modified champagne Avila Bay.

I think that from the tone of the picnics you described, a short, tea length dress will look perfect!!

Gwendolyn88: What time of day is your wedding? I think that tea length wedding dresses are so charming and classic. I actually wanted to have a brunch wedding with a tea length dress, but we ended up doing the evening thing so I needed to go with something more formal. Daytime weddings are just so elegant!

I think you should go dress shopping. Go to davids or where ever sells off hte rack/fast timeline and try on dresses and see what feels good. You may get a long dress on realize it is totally not for you and that you rae truly happy about the short dress you have picked out. Davids has some short dresses too, so try them on and see if it gives you that feeling!
