@tynakinnon:  I don’t because my husband is nearly bald, lol, but if regular head and shoulders doesn’t work they have medicated shampoos at the drug store as well as solutions that you can squirt in your roots. If that doesn’t work, the same type of thing is available in prescription strength from a dermatologist.

We both get dandruff… and there is a shampoo you can buy called “Nizoral.” Works wonders.

I had a problem w a severely itchy scalp , head and shoulders scalp formula really helped. It has A different active ingredient than the other types and was only one that really worked.  One ? Though, does you SO was his hair often?  my DH doesn’t have much hair but he also rarely washes it.  A few of his friends who’ve stayed over also never wash their hair .  Grosses me out ESP since some of them have lots of hair! Of hrs not washing often thst could be the culprit.

@tynakinnon:  My FI has psoriasis on his head and he’s been using TGel. You can also use it to treat dandruff but because it has tar in it, it stinks. FI calls it the “railroad track” shampoo.

@tynakinnon:  Nizoral is great, especially the prescription one.

I have itchy scalp and dandruff sometimes.  One thing that has helped is coconut oil.  I rub some on my scalp and let it sit for about 30 minutes and then wash it out.
