i know everyone gets a little dress regret but I’m kind of freaking out. I got my dress in the mail this week and it fits perfectly BUT in my size it is much more revealing than the sample (which was clipped down 3 sizes) the back is lower, the chest part is smaller and I’m really embarrassed to wear this dress at a church in front of my family. It isn’t that i have to tug it up, it just feels less secure and to me looks a bit scandalous. i don’t think I can add straps and I want to avoid big alterations that might hurt the resale value (it was $$$) – what to do? Please help!
Also I think it’s too fussy and big but I can live with that I suppose 🙁

It’s gorgeous, flattering, and your cleavage is covered. What’s the problem?

@mrsgroomzilla: I don’t think it’s too revealing. If you’re concerned about the deep sweetheart perhaps you can have some extra fabric put in there to cover it up some more.
I think it’s absolutely gorgeous!

I have a big fear of wardrobe malfunction and it’s too low for even the smallest stick on bra and I’m scared to see how my mom and grandma will react 🙁

@MsGinkgo: you’re probably right about the extra fabric I’ll bet they could do something…

Pretty! I don’t think it’s too revealing but if you do why not add some fabric in the chest area? Since it’s already layered you shouldn’t be able to notice the difference.

@mrsgroomzilla: it’s beautifuL! Talk to a seamstress they can easily make a fix to bring the neckline up a bit I’m sure!

@mrsgroomzilla: you. look. amazing. And totally tasteful in my opinion! But maybe consider a bolero if you’re going to be uncomfortable?
But I think the dress is perfection, and sooo sophisticated!

@mrsgroomzilla: Is that the sample? It doesn’t look too revealing at all, if not!!! Don’t forget how alterations plus having your hair and makeup done really puts it all together! I think you’re going to be STUNNING!

Oh my gosh NO I think you look AMAZING!!
If you’re really uncomfortable I’d look into a wrap or bolero for the ceremony…but man…I’d be really hesitant to cover that up.
I’m not kidding. You’re breathtaking!

First off I think you look awesome. I tried imagining myself in your place and I totally get where you are coming from. I would not be comfortable with a neckline that low either. You can totally pull it off, but you really should be comfortable for your wedding. I would definitely look into seeing if a seamstress could raise the sweetheart or add some more layering to give you some extra coverage. It seems to me that the gap between the sweetheart cups is oddly wide on your dress.

@mrsgroomzilla: You look amazing!! I think the dress is appropriate because the cleavage is covered and your chest isn’t popping out so you shouldn’t feel embarrassed. If you feel uncomfortable i’d look into adding some fabric like the other bees suggested 🙂

OMG you look amazing! That dress is gorgeous! I can’t imagine anyone reacting in any other way than I just did. Who is the dress made by?

That is a gorgeous dress and you look breathtaking! I don’t think it’s too revealing, the low cut is covered by the fabric and your chest isn’t popping out or anything, but my version of modesty may be different than yours. If your really not feeling it I would ask the seamstress to add some more fabric in that area…. but I think it’s pretty damn gorgeous as is!
