    Hi Darling Bees--

FH and I have been shopping for wedding rings recently and I've come home a little disappointed in what we can afford. :( We started Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University this summer (Which I HIGHLY recommend) and got ourselves out of debt (YAY!) but also on a tight budget to pay for WP gifts and our rings. My E-ring is from Tiffany's (a DREAM come true) so I initially thought I would just get a plain platinum band to match it. However, when I saw how it looked, I got really sad. :( I REALLY liked the narrow platinum band with diamonds half-way around which at Tiffany's....is $2000.

Soooo...I started shopping around at other places and we visited other jewelry stores, because I was convinced that it didn't matter to me where we got it from, as long as it looked good. Tonight FI and I looked over our budget and realized that we can afford to buy the $2000 ring. He asked if that's what I wanted and I really wasn't sure (I hate making these kinds of decisions...) and told him that "it was a lot easier when you proposed. All I had to say was Yes." Then darling FI said, "Ok, that settles it. I want to buy you Tiffany's." This is why I'm marrying the most wonderful man in the world (no matter how irrational I can be...).

Yay! Just think though....$2000 is nothing over a lifespan of time. You will be wearing the ring forever!

That is wonderful! Yay for matching rings. It is so difficult to settle on something else when you know the perfect -whatever it may be- has been found.

Congrats on getting yourselves out of debt! Since he is buying you your dream ring, have you made sure you are purchasing his dream ring as well?

Here's the best pic I could get of my e-ring. I'm a horrible photographer and my little point and shoot camera isn't so great either....

How exciting!  Mrs Dee here's a couple tricks I figured out.  If you have macro on your camera turn it on.  Put your ring in something with a lot of bright colors.  And, instead of zooming, try to get close to it with your camera.  I set my ring on top of the ring box then set the camera on the edge of the table and then squated down to take the picture.  That way I wouldn't move the camera.  It worked pretty good!
