Weddingbee boards

Hi girls!!!

Ok, so I have been reading weddingbee for a LONG time. One of my good friends is a blogger (I won't tell you who, just yet ;) Anywho, I am totally obsessed with everything weddings. Um, it's kind of sad when your boss comes to you (someone who is not even engaged yet) and asks you "what are the best bridal shops to look for dresses in the Boston area? I am making appts. for this weekend." So, yeah...pretty much anyone who knows me, KNOWS how much I love love love weddings, wedding planning, anything to do with the "W" word.

So, a little about me. I have been with the love of my life for almost 2 years. It will be 2 years Feb 7th!! He is my absolute rock, I would be lost without him. Anyway, our relationship moved pretty fast. We met, 5 months later, there we are in ARUBA, and that is where I realized that I want to spend the rest of my life with this man. He has told me that Aruba is the place he realized that I was going to be his future wife. Hence my username, Arubagirl. I LOVE ARUBA. And I feel as I owe that tiny island so much. Silly as it sounds, the beauty of that place is just incredible...anyone can fall in love!

I moved in with J only 7 months after we got together (2 months after our magical trip), and here we are. So much in love. We have had many conversations about our marriage, our future, and what we want out of life. J knows what kind of ring I want (although he refuses to let me show him in person!) He wants it to be a complete surprise. I told him as long as whatever stone(s) he gets me are princess cut, than that is fine by me!

I know we will be engaged in 2010, but WHO KNOWS when! This past October, J brought me to Disney World for my 27th birthday, and everyone tried to convince me that he was going to pop the question there. I knew in my heart, it wasn't going to happen, but OF COURSE it was in the back of my mind. Well, it didn't happen, we had an awesome trip, and now I can honestly say I have NO idea when this proposal is coming, and I am so excited to be surprised!!

Can't wait to start getting to know everyone here :)

MsMama, I have thought about having a DW in Aruba, because it is so special to us, but it wouldn't be realistic  We just have way too many people we would want to be there, and it just wouldn't work down in the Caribbean!

I've been to the DR and I LOVED it. Aruba is known for it's tradewinds. I highly recommend going! Maybe a future honeymoon for you?!

Wow Arubagirl we have a lot in common!  It will be 2 years for me and my love on Jan 23rd!  We moved in together only 2 months after meeting!  I know I will be engaged in 2010 and most likey before March, but I dont know when!  Good luck to you and I can't wait to hear your story!
