Although I had toyed with the idea of making our own wedding bands, Mr CL and I decided that it would be one DIY too far, and to let a professional deal with this one! We’ve commissioned two bespoke bands from a local goldsmith and paid our 50% deposit today! I’m really pleased to be able to support her in her young business and the designs she’s come up with are gorgeous. The only thing is I’ve had to leave my e-ring with her for a few weeks as she designs the shape of the rings It feels really weird not having it on!

No pics I’m afraid, as we’re having them custom-made but I’ll do my best to describe them. They’re both in 18 carat white gold. Mine is going to be shaped to fit around my solitaire e-ring and have some scattered diamonds in the band. The best way to desribe Mr CL’s ring is that it will be ‘chipped’ along one edge. He’s really into rock climbing, and she’s designed it to be reminiscent of a rock face. She’s also suggested that he has three tiny diamonds in his band to match in with mine, but I’m not sure he’s convinced about that! We’re going back in around 3 weeks to see how she’s getting on and decide about placement of the stones I’ll definitely post some photos when I have them!
