I have a ghost dog.  I’ve only ever seen him at night and always chalked it up to being sleepy until my DH saw him in the middle of the day.  I always see ghost dog on the side of our bed looking at us and, once, in my DH’s face as he slept.  DH was home alone and standing in the kitchen.  He heard something and turned and looked, ghost dog was running through the dining room.  He heard ghost dog run up the stairs then DH left the house.  LOL.

I don’t really know if I believe in ghosts.  I think I see ghost dog because it’s night and I’m tired.  DH, well, maybe he saw something because I kept telling him about ghost dog.  Either way, ghost dog is friendly.  He isn’t going to hurt us.

eeks! I’m actually watching a Lifetime movie right now about haunting-ishy stuff from the time of ye olde. Haha.

I guess I did have something happen-I was showering one evening a couple weeks back, and someone banged on the bathroom door – I figured it was DH since he should be home soon. I usually lock the bathroom door if I’m home alone, so he’ll often try the door and then knock to ask a question. I shouted that I’d be out in a few minutes.

I got out and DH had just gotten home. I asked what he wanted and he was confused. He had walked in about 30 seconds prior……I heard that knock like 5 minutes prior. THEN DH pointed out that I hadn’t locked the apt door (the building is controlled access, and like I said, he was going to be home soon) so he even checked the hallways and there was someone vacuuming. I’ve convinced myself since then that maybe it was the guy vacuuming the steps that are on the outside wall of that bathroom and he hit the wall or something.

Mostly convinced.

oh, that and our air/heat unit will randomly turn on sometimes. Yeah.

creepy! I don’t know if I believe in ghosts or not but mostly I convince myself I don’t because it scares me too much to think they could really exist! Hopefully the ghost in your house is a friendly one!

FTS. I’m definitely afraid of that weird stuff. My BFF is like a magnet for it. She told me all kinds of stuff she’s had to put up with all her life and her parents too. I believed her mostly, until freaky shit happened to me when I was in her house! We were having a sleepover and during the evening, everyone was downstairs when we heard a huge THUNK like a bowling ball hit the floor. I went up to see what fell but nothing was out of place. Then later that night, I felt fingers caressing the back of my neck, and her ceiling fan suddenly started spinning.

I did not sleep over anymore. BTW I was 18 at the time, not like 7.

I’m a magnet for the paranormal, I have so many stories and experiences it’s redonkalous. Usually it takes a personal experience for a skeptic to become a believer.

@Mrs. Doily:  it really does! I’m a skeptic, but my mom has told me stories that are hard to dispute. You should tell yours!

@hisgoosiegirl:  Well I tell y’all the one that I remember being my first experience, it’s kinda long though. We used to live in this old Victorian home in the Iowa countryside when I was really little, like 6, and my bedroom was the Turret Room. So I got the awesome window seat and tower like thing in my room. Anyways, the bedroom set was authentic to the house and my parents got it with the house and just left it up and made the room up in all pink and stuff for me. The house was really old and huge, there was 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, two dens, a dining room, a living room, a kitchen and a huge pantry. I loved that house.

There was one winter when I was super sick, I was running a fever of 103 and my mother had given me aspirin to try and bring my fever down. She had decided that if didn’t break by the morning that she would take me the 40 miles to the hospital. That night I was sleeping and I was suddenly woken up by something in the room with me. I couldn’t sit up because I was so weak, but I had knocked my favorite monkey to the ground. Suddenly I noticed a little girl about my age standing at the foot of my bed. I remember her so clearly, she had brown hair that was in this super long braid and she was wearing a white nightgown that had long sleeves and a high nice. She looked really sad. Then she walked to the side of my bed, picked up my monkey set it next to me and touched my forehead. I suddenly felt cool and feel back to sleep. My mom checked on me shortly after and my fever had broken and the next morning I was perfectly fine, no sign that I had been super sick for several days.

I told my mom what I had seen and she was skeptical but she did some research and it turned out a little girl had died of influenza in the house like 80 years before that.

That is just one of many stories, and probably one of the nicest ones.

I’ve never had anything really happen to me, other than a sort of weird incident after my dad passed away.

But my aunt was at a wedding reception at a famous haunted place here in Indy. This was in the 80’s so she was taking pics with a film camera. She took pics of the bride and groom standing in front of a fireplace. When she got the film back, there was a man there standing with them in old clothes and top hat. He was kind of see thru, not like a solid person.

He was NOT in the pic she took and there was no one there that looked like him at the reception so it couldn’t have been a double exposure or anything. So freaky!!
