Yay!!! That's very exciting! I hope everything turns out well for her and her SO!
OMG We met when we worked together in 07-08 and she was waiting then. I have never been so excited and happy for someone in my life!! Is it strange I have absolutely no jealousy?! Seriously I am just really happy for her and especially happy that she won't have to leave the US... I cannot wait to help her plan and dress shop, etc! This freaking rocks!!

It's not strange to have no jealousy. I don't have many friends who get married and the one who got married last year, I was just excited for her. No jealousy at all.

She's from Colombia, but she'll be getting married here probably in a small civil ceremony followed by a larger one.
When my best friend got engaged I was soooooo excited for her! I love helping her plan and look at venues and doing all that fun stuff. I will be so prepared when its my turn lol.
PLUS.... its much easier to bring it up in a conversation with my BF about being engaged :) heheheheheheh

I think its fantastic that you can be elated for her and others while you are patiently waiting. I think it shows that you understand its not a race.
@texasmeredith: maybe it's because i am waiting on the perfect man? i'm not so sure why i am so complacent about it (a few months ago i was going insane) but now it's like okay if it happens soon cool if not cool. i am secretly freaking out because he thinks i can plan in about 3 months and while i love the fact that he thinks i'm THAT good. i dunno about that one lol!!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm soo happy for her!! She has been with her beau for about 5 or 6 years now and we hear through the grapevine that he'll be proposing any day now!! Due to her visa requirements, they may be getting married as early as January! I have never been so happy for anyone in my LIFE!!
BTW She's so funny, she was like wow you and M are already thinking of getting engaged, that's so soon! LOL!! Um (friend's name) it's been a year and a half, oh wow where did the time go she says! lol!!
