Ugh! I'm sorry Erin! That really sucks! My mom's car was hit at a gas station and the guy tried to claim it was her fault even though she was inside paying when it happened! It was a pain but it was straightened out in the end. I hope it all works out for you soon!

Thanks. The worst part is that I don't feel like I can vent to anyone in real life, since my MIL feels terrible and I don't want to make her feel worse, but I do want to scream! Why didn't she get a police report? She didn't even HONK as this woman drove into her!

My MIL borrowed my car a week ago, and another driver merged into her. This woman admitted fault at the scene, but my MIL didn't get a police report, and now the other driver is claiming that my MIL hit her. I just spent 20 minutes on the phone with various insurance companies to get essentially no information. I'm really pissed that it's taking MY time to deal with this since I wasn't even involved and I'm the one whose car is smushed!
