@MrsPanda99:  Their loss if they don’t show up! I wouldn’t follow up for a response more than twice if it were me: just plan a perfect day for you guys and your dad 🙂

Can you choose a venue that doesnt normally host weddings? I chose a local michellin rated restaurant that is opening off hours for me. They do this for any kind of party.

@MrsPanda99:  I would just have it in your backyard or as a pp suggested a nice resturant or something similar.

I had the same thing when trying to plan our wedding (~25 guests), no one was interested because it wasn’t a big wedding.

We ended up renting out a restaurant for the night instead.

@MrsPanda99:  I have this issue planning our vow renewal because it’s small.  I don’t want some big circus and they definitely do not *care* about weddings that aren’t 100+ people.

Such a PITA.

@MrsPanda99:  Sorry, I’m in Calgary and the wedding is in Canmore 🙁

Are there any restaurants that have a private room that you could rent out?

@MrsPanda99:  When we were looking at venues for a super-small wedding (think elopement plus less than 5 guests), we found a beautiful bed and breakfast.  Maybe you have something similar in your town?

@MrsPanda99:  I feel like that.  Some stuff I don’t care about, but like, I really hate that great photographers want nothing to do with us.  We’re doing the vow renewal because we had to cancel our wedding due to our daughter’s surgery.  There ARE no wedding photos.  There were no vows.  Those two things are important to me.  I know we can do a restaurant for a reception or whatever, but it’s still hurtful.

I agree, just get back to me and tell me “No, I’m too good for your tiny event”.. lol, at least I’d know.
