Yay for a job in this economy! But boo for an extended LDR. : ( I'm going to have to deal with my fiance going away for an internship next year...for anywhere from 6 months to 16months! : / We're hoping that I can join him for some of it, but it'd still only be for 8 months max, and only if he leaves/comes back on a certain timeline, and only if he takes one of the LONGER internships! (ie, a year or 16 months).
yea I am so glad he got it because it's perfect for him! I don't exactly understand what he'll be doing because it's science research, but he said it's exactly what he wanted, so yay! And I'm really glad he'll be able to move here with money...I was honestly getting pretty stressed about having to semi support him until he found something.
Having him move with money will make it soooo much less stressful! Congratulations to your SO! And 9 weeks will pass in the blink of an eye :)

My SO applied to a paid internship that he found out about at the last minute. He was able to get the application, transcript and recommendation letter together in 2 days and he just found out that he got it! Soo happy for him that he got it, and it pays extremely well for an internship...like more money than I make at my actual job.
Just kind of sad because he was supposed to be moving here in June and now it won't be until August. It will be 5 hours away (farther than we are now), but we can still visit. Well, atleast when he does move in he'll have money and he won't have to worry as much about supporting himself! Trying to see the bright side and yes, I am really happy for him, just was excited to finally have the distance be over. Atleast it's only an extra 9 weeks.
