So when Mr. Xray and I first got engaged that was the first thing my and his parents did was sit down with us to talk $$$ and were each wonderful and generous and gave us each a lump sum perfect for us to split the bill exactly 3 ways between Mr. Xray and I, Mr & Mrs Xray, and My own Mom & Dad White. My parents also informed me that they wanted to pay for my dress seperate from the money they already gave us (which I was so extremley thankful for) and gave me a budget of 2000.
Well bees I am a pretty thrifty person and one of my big scores was my Dress, was able to get a 1700 dress for 800 cause I bought the sample (which had only been tried one once before myself) and it fit like a glove. Momma White kept asking “are you sure you want the sample we have the budget if you want to order a brand new one??” and I knew the dress I was wearing was the perfect color and what I wanted.
Well a couple weeks ago Momma White and I decided to start accessories shopping primarily focusing on shoes…. oh my the options! Well we were a little naughty and end up falling in love with the perfect pair at nordstroms… well that is till I saw the price… 695.00 OUCH!!!!!!! Oh you Manolo Blahnik… curse you for making such beautiful shoes so far out of my budget!
Well Momma WHite asked me then last night if I could make a run to Mall of America (since we live in the land of 10,000 lakes, and one giant mall that is MN) sicne she needed some school supplies for her class room as she works with kids with EBD and Autism. I always enjoy some one on one time so jumped at the chance. Well we were there and she asked “So should we be naughty and go look at the shoes again??” and I was like “It is pure torture…. but I love to dream OK you talked me into it” tho in reality she didnt have to at all…. like most Bees I too dream of winning the lottery… some day…. *sigh*
Well we walk in and I immediatly saw the dream shoe, the super nice sales guy asked if i wanted to try it on as they have very very few sizes left (had no idea what a popular shoe it was let alone that people really spent that on shoes!) Well he came out and they didnt have my size in the Navy blue I needed but the raspberry but try them on for fit and see if I liked them. Wow……. fit like a glove and probably the most comfortable heels I have ever worn.
Well I had to slip them off my feet and very reluctantly hand the box back to the sales guy tho I admit it was super hard till I again saw the price. That was then the oddest and felt like an out of body expiriance happend…. Momma White looks at the sales guy and says “I have a pair to pick up please” and I am thinking “What shoes could she possibly be picking up here”
Thats when the sales man came back with a Manolo Blahnik box…. in my size… in Navy Blue. My parents decided that since I saved so much money on my dress they used some of the extra to get me the shoes and surprise me! I almost died right there! They are STUNNING and fit like a glove!! I love my parents so much and never in a million years did I ever think I’d have a pair of the Manolo Blahniks (yea I am a fan of Sex and the city and every time she wore a pair… id need a towel to clean up my little mess) To know that i have a pair and most likley the only pair I will ever own makes me tear up! Alright bees here is the moment you’ve been waiting for the pics!!
I LOVE THEM!!!! and to even top it off my mom found a great set of my great grandmas earrings that she is going to attach to the center of the bow to give it the sparkle effect!!!!! I am so thankful to have the family I do Idk what I would do with out them!
