Yup. I’ve had my share of freakouts about being pregnant. About a year ago I went through an embarrassing account of pregnancy tests because I thought I was pregnant.

It’s just not the right time for us so I totally understand that feeling when you finally get your period!

I freaked out a lot in the months immediately following the proposal.  We decided on a 13 month engagement, so there was a lot of time to make sure it didn’t happen.  Now that we are 4.5 months away, I worry less.  I still don’t want it to happen as we just booked flights for our all-inclusive honeymoon, but I definitely don’t have the anxiety I used to about it!

@MrsTickledPink:  I used to freak, especially when I was 7-9 months away from the wedding. But now my wedding is 20 days away, so if it happens, it happens.

@MrsTickledPink:  Yup I freaked about it even more as the wedding got near…….. It was just like man this would be such a bad timing!!! Not able to enjoy the wedding and HM like I wanted to, but it didn’t happen 😉

Haha!   I had that though more than a few times in the lead-up to our wedding.

This just happened to me! My period went MIA for 2 months and I freaked. When it finally showed up, I was so happy! We are planning to try right after the wedding for a baby… But timing is important for these things and I wanted to be off all my meds beforehand.

I would have to have a serious talk with my birth control if I got pregnant. I know it can happen, it’s just really unlikely to.

And because we don’t really want kids, if I thought I was pregnant and then found out I wasn’t I would be very relieved!

I am wating to take a test right now…. Still have a few days before I can; my period has been so wonky since going off BC when I lost my health insurance. But we had unprotected sex yesterday and he forgot that I am no longer on BC.

I was definitely worried about becoming pregnant before my August wedding last year (especially after I dropped $2500 on my dress!) I felt relieved when it was only a couple months until our wedding since I know if I did get pregnant I wouldn’t show anyway! Thankfully, I got pregnant just a month after our wedding and we didn’t have any accidents prior to! 🙂

@MrsTickledPink:  I know with the money put out in deposits etc. it’s a bit nerve wracking!!

Yep, 4 1/2! Time is flying! 🙂

I actually remember being relieved when I passed the point where if I got pregnant right then, I thought I’d still fit in my dress. But seriously. I totally worried.

OMG. I had a scare, too! I’m getting married in September–and I have the whole event planned (like $10k in non-refundable deposits paid out already, and an international honeymoon we already booked). Even my dress has already been ordered and is in production. Well, my fiance and I went on a romantic trip over NYE, and sure enough–almost exactly 9 months before our wedding date….we had a condom break. Gah. I was totally stressing about it, so we got the morning after pill the next day, just to be safe. Got my period today, so we’re in the clear.

Don’t get me wrong, we REALLY want kids–but not just yet.
