I know my FI bought my Christmas present off our registry. How do I know this? Because he more or less told me, and then to make it even easier for me to snoop, since I was logged into our target account, he used our shared e-mail to order it, which means there are all these messages about my gift coming in my e-mail box. I want to look so much, but I’m restraining.
Help keep me strong!

Just remember how much better it’ll be when you actually get to open it up on Christmas! That what has kept me from always snooping… I actually know what FI got me (a Marie Antoinette Miss Piggy Porcelain Doll I’ve ALWAYS wanter) since I had seen it on an auction and I had to use my account to get it. It even was delivered to my mothers house where I had to restrain from opening the box and just delivering it to FI.
Actually these past 2 years have resulted in me knowing exactly what I was getting as I essentially picked them out. But I have never physically seen the gifts before Christmas and it is so hard not to snoop around to see what they actually look like!
My best bit of advice for you would be to forbid yourself from checking the emails if possible until Christmas unless you just delete the emails when they come in (but that would create problems if he needed one of the emails for it). You could also always just have him change the password temporarily and allow you access to your emails so you aren’t tempted to just check all the time.
I hate not having a big surprise on Christmas!

You can do it, girl! Be strong!
I always know what my husband’s getting me because he makes an effort to say “no clothes and no jewellery”…although he caved last year and jewellery was all he bought me. 😉 I’m difficult to buy for, so I tell him exactly what I want/need and he’ll get that.
