to me, 2.5 years isn't really that long. keep your head up - and you know, you can be engaged without a ring!
But like others have said, guys sometimes make these purchases before the ring. My husband bought a giant Bravia, proposed a month later? .. my friend's hubby bought a motorcycle! She hated/hates that thing for that reason, but all's well that ends well, right?
My question for you would be: Do you feel decieved? He's been talking about getting married for 2 years now. That is a long time. Maybe you feel so badly about it because he has had you thinking for a long time that a proposal was on its way. It isn't about the ring. You can be engaged without a ring. It's about the commitment. Maybe it's time you told him exactly how you feel. You may want to tell him that you've been waiting for a proposal for so long that now you are wondering if it will ever happen. It isn't fair for him to talk about wanting to marry you and not follow through with the action. Actions speak louder than words.
Yeah my bf knows what ring I want however we got in a minor argument when he revealed he wasn't planning on spending that much on a ring this time (he's been engaged once before and spent a lot on that ring). I understand he wants to be financially responsible however if he didn’t spend so much money modifying his car there would be more ring money...
However, I hope you get teh ring your heart desires! Best of luck!!!
