I’ve read a lot of posts in waiting and decided it’s time to post.
I love antique engagement rings, showed one that I LOVE to my BF, and his response was “so when the time comes you are sure that is the ring you want, right?”
So now my head is spinning and I instantly go into planning mode… I even update him with my ideas and plans and apparently he is insisting that he and his groomsmen wear white Air Force Ones (yes, SNEAKERS) for the wedding…I don’t even know what to do with that!
With all of this talk I still have no idea when the engagement will even happen and I’m kind of stressing out!

Don’t stress! It’s the guy’s job to stress. And sounds like he’s moving in the right direction.
And welcome. So glad you joined us!

I am in the same situation as you, I know Mr. Bells and I are getting engaged at some point but I have no idea when it will happen. In the meanwhile, I am looking at looking at possible venues and dresses and generally getting an idea of a budget (entirely with his blessing, I wouldn’t want to do it behind his back), I’ve picked my bridesmaids, we are discussing what kind of ceremony we want etc. It feels like we’re engaged, but since there hasn’t been a proposal yet and no ring, we can’t really make it official.
Don’t stress out. Have a look at wedding magazines to get ideas and stuff like that, but try to keep your mind off it as much as possible. Trust me, I know it’s hard 😉

Welcome to weddingbee!
Wedding planning is lots of fun. If your guy is anything like my FI, he will have very few requrests for the wedding and you should do your best to incorporate those into the wedding.
