Ok, for the trolley thing I would say:
Ceremony : Blah Blah Church
Reception to Follow at Ferndale Zoo
For your convience, transportation from the Ceremony to the Reception will be provided by the Blah Blah Trolley, departing at 7 PM at the corner of Blah and Blah Street.
ditto what texas law girl said maybe you could include that in a funky zoo map??? So people dont get muddles either!
I would write something short and simple like "shuttle provided" As far as dedication, I wrote, "On this day of celebration, we would like to remember those members of our family and friends who are no longer with us, especially, A and B, grandmothers of the bride" This is on the last page of our program.
ive read that you honor the deceased in the program, not the invitation. You can include a lovely poem or something on the back of the program.
Wow. I can imagine some really fun and imaginative invites for your zoo wedding! How fun!
How about having some large cookies shaped as animal crackers at the reception for favors along with cartons of milk? yummy!
There are some very very creative etsy designers who could really run with this fun idea!
I would word it something like:
"Together with their families
Jane Doe
and
John X
would like you to join them as they
begin their new lives together at
Central Park Zoo"
reception afterward in (area of park where the reception is to be) with transportation provided
*What would be cute is to have a cartoon or drawn couple swinging hand in hand on vines a la tarzan together on the invitation! Something really fun and funky! I think your invites could turn out to be amazing! Great wedding venue and ideas!
The previous posters have offered great advice. Don't forget that if you want to go into more detail about the transportation/trolley, you can include it in an additional insert, along with a map perhaps?

I'm trying to word the programs right now. We are going informal, simple, and we have a few "situations". The venue is a zoo. Literally, a zoo. Our guests will be transported from the ceremony site to the reception site by trolley so they don't have to walk. How exactly should I word this on the program? I don't want guests to be confused.
I also want to mention my dad who died when I was young and write something for other family members who are deceased. Anyone have a nice (short) poem or anything? I need suggestions!
