Gorgeous!
looks like a really fun wedding :) and the whole time i was looking at it, i was definitely thinking... "i love that dress!!"
Absolutely beautiful! I love your invitations. Were they DIY? If so where did you get the gorgeous burgundy cover?
The dress is by Mon Cheri, it's style "Ella," and it was discontinued about a month after I ordered it in 2006. Sorry, ladies!
Hey Tanya! didnt realize till now that I knew who you were :) Youre a nor cal knottie, right? Your wedding is amazing through and through...I remember asking you where you got your AMAZING red dancing shoes a few months back. Remember me? I'm still on the nor cal boards :)
Tanya, thanks for your request. I have lots of bios lined up for KBOTW, but after those, I'd be happy to showcase yours!
Generally, I just search through Knottie Bios to find the ones for KBOTW. However, I love to get recommendations! If anyone has any suggestions, please email them to me at birdofparadise@weddingbee.com :)
Hi, Miss Penguin! I remember reading on the Knot how excited you were to become a bee! I still wish I'd started blogging early enough to try out to become a bee before my wedding got too close to get started.
I cant wait to see it :) great bio, and congrats on your beautiful wedding!
Tanya,
I LOVE the pages of your guestbook! Could you tell me more about it or send me a template? (julie_faerie at yahoo dot com). Thanks!
great bio, tanya! are you 1/2 vietnamese? how did you work with the timing for the change from your wedding gown into the ao dai?
Briannie-- yes, I'm half Vietnamese. For the wardrobe change, the limo pulled up to the reception venue and I went straight upstairs to change out of the white dress, then came down for the cocktail hour. I only wore the ao dai for that limited time, then rushed back up to change back right before dinner started. Made our grand entrance wearing the white dress again.
And wow, did it take a lot of haggling and arguing to get the seamstress to make the ao dai without upping the price because I was "so tall!" Sorry, but my Vietnamese cousins wear 4" heels all the time, I hardly think that it's too much of a stretch to make a dress for 5'6" me. ;)
Tanya,
I just saw your bio, I know it's a little late but I just stumbled across it. Was your wedding at the Corinthian Club? That's where my reception is!!!

I've seen so many gorgeous bios via the weekly post of Bios of the Week, that I finally created one with my own pro pics. And of course I want to show it off, because my photographer got so many great shots.
So how exactly does one get to be a "bio of the week"? Do I have to bribe someone with cookies? Start a write-in petition? Send my cat to do my dirty work? ;)
If anyone wants to see it, here's the results of 2 hours' hard labor when I should've been working... http://tinyurl.com/2xbr2v
