@SimplyEuphoric:  Including everything: rings, honeymoon, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, etc…around $30,000.  You could DIY a lot, and have a barbeque and picnic tables…honestly I would have been totally ok with that as long as I could keep my same DJ.  The best thing we spend our money on was our DJ.  She was incredible and got everyone on the dance floor several times.  She was $650 for 4 hours.

Ours was $23k for 100 people for everything except e-ring and honeymoon.  Mine was pretty traditional (Saturday night, good buffet + app hour, 6 hour open bar, photography, flowers, photo booth, DJ, rehearsal dinner, hair/makeup for bridal party).

I paid for quality vendors and got everything I wanted (good photography, flowers, lovely venue, open bar, photobooth)…but I did not go crazy by any means.  Stuff adds up fast.

We budgeted $5K but ended up spending close to $6K.  Evne though we went a bit over, I am very pleased.

I guess I should add details:

Our budget includes rental of a beach house in Northeast Florida for the week to host our out of town guests and to serve as the ceremony and reception location.  It also includes a Saturday evening reception of a BBQ buffet and an open bar for 50 guests.  It covers my dress and his suit, both custom made, and our rings.  It covers flowers, cake, and decor and rental of tables and chairs.  It also includes gifts for our bridal party.  We were even able to afford a great photographer with our small budget.  Fianlly, it includes the cost of our marriage license and all paper products (STDs, invitations, and our programs.)

I’ll post some pics after the wedding.  A small budget Saturday night wedding is possible!

We will spend around $30K not including rings.  But it is mainly my parent’s agenda to have a lot of thier friends included.. which is increading the guest list a lot.  We could do it for a lot less..

We’re doing a backyard wedding with a lunch cocktail style reception and so far we’ve spent a little over $14,000. The only thing left we have to pay for is the officiant and suit rentals and some random decor. That amount doesn’t include our rings or honeymoon.

ETA: We’re inviting 80 people including our immediate family and wedding party.

When we got engaged I was hoping to get ‘er done around 10K like my sister had (8 years ago).  Turns out, I want things that she didn’t have and we’re tentatively looking at around 19K right now, which includes wedding bands and rehearsal dinner but does not include engagement ring or honeymoon.

Hoping we can get some things in under budget so we can be more at 17-18K, or maybe someone will step up to host the rehearsal dinner.  😉

This is a skewed question, because the amount of money you are able to spend probably depends on where you live, the average salary, cost of living etc. If anyone in my area ever spent 60k on a wedding, it would literally be in history! :). My FI and I are paying for our own wedding and without a honeymoon it will probably around 5k, and then a honeymoon which is about $3,500. Still a ton of money to me!
