It’s the Garten Verein in Galveston. Built in 1880! I’m so excited, of course I haven’t booked it yet, I’m hoping it is availble for the date I want. It so beautiful! Now I’m just freaking out, because this whole time I thought I would want some place that’s all-inclusive, and this place is not. For the bees who did not have all-inclusive, did you wish you had, and vice versa?
ETA: Also the place seems huge! Seats up to 250 for seated dinner (people who had close to 200 had lots of room to spare), I’m lucky if I will have 100 people. What do you do with all the dead space!?

Very gorgeous!! My ceremony space was built in 1859!

I think it’s beautiful. All inclusives are nice because they’re easy, but you can usually get better deals when you can shop around for vendors!

Add some lounging areas to dead space. It is a comfy alternative for guests to sit

I will be honest, I really dislike planning things, so an all-inclusive does sound appealing to me.
But, our families are also on a budget, and all-inclusive things were way out of our price range. Also, I was worried that an all-inclusive option would mean that we were limited in choices for food, cake, etc.
My venue is Wickham Park in CT, and it’s a beautiful garden with a cabin. We needed to find a caterer (who will also do the cake), a florist, and an MC. My future in-laws know somene for the catering and the flowers, and my mom is coordinating all of the decorations, and a friend is doing the photography. If we hadn’t known so many people who could help, I’m sure it would have been more of a headache than it already has been!
However, we only are having about a 7-month engagement, and part of this was over the holidays…so really we only have about 5 months for serious planning. You have a year! If you are diligent and start now, I’m sure things will go well for you. And, think of everything that you can customize exactly to your liking! The venue gives so much atmosphere…if you can see yourself there on your wedding day, go for it. I don’t think you will regret it.

The Venue looks amazing. Hopefully it is available for the day that you want it. Sorry I can’t help you on the all inclusive thing as where I am from, we don’t have anything really included. All of the following cost extra where I am from:
Food costs are extra on top of the hall rental
linen (well they include linen IF you want black and sand as your colours)
I think there is only 1 venue I know of in my city that offers some of these things included but to be honest, its not really a beautiful venue, its just in a strip mall type of setting not even remotely near our waterfront and the pictures they use on the website makes everything look like its from the 80’s which wasn’t my invision so we went with something else.
