What a cool ring! It almost looks like an interlocking puzzle! And yes, worry about hitting it is totally normal. I've had mine three months and still get spooked when I clang it against something!! Love the princess cut!
Congratulations! What a cool ring. Yes, it's totally normal. I was paranoid for months after I got mine--all I could think of was that I would hit it against something or somehow break it/loosen the prongs or something. I am happy to report that I haven't done anything damaging to it in the 18-ish months I've had it. ;)

I totally was freaking out the first few weeks worried about hurting it - but now 2 months in to the engagement (and now that it fits perfectly - we got it sized down) I am more calm about!

I was (and still am) terrified of hurting my ring. About four months ago, I fell going up some concrete stairs (common occurance... I fall up stairs...) and it was on my hand. The ring was fine, but my finger was badly bruised and almost broken. lol.

All I can say is I need ring insurance HARD CORE! And maybe a plastic bubble to protect it in!

I was totally freaked out of losing my ring breaking it bending it etc. Im such a Klutz but I have had it now for a year and its still in excellent condition thankfully you get used to it after awhile and feel weird without it on.

gorgeous and unique ring!!! i think it's natural to be afraid of damaging it, just remember to take it off when cleaning etc... and you should be okay

That ring is awesome! Congratulations!! Also, I'm proud of you for not putting it on over and over for the last few months while you were waiting. I am not that way. Hahahaha. I found out where my mom is hiding our wedding rings and I try it on all of the time. I know, it's bad. But I'm proud of you.
The paranoia thing is totally normal. We made mine with a separate diamond and setting. So, I had this fear that the diamond would just fall out. Driving with the windows down even make me think - sometimes - that it will still fall out.
Fifty, I have fallen up the stairs my whole life. It's nice to "meet" someone who does as well.
Thank you for all of the wonderful comments! Its nice to see some feeback. I find that when I show it to my friends they don't really say much well actually most of my friends who live far away haven't even asked me to see it!
@thefuturemrsjewellI was suprised even though I knew the ring was in the closet the whole time and I knew he had a picture of the ring on his cell phone so he could do it at any time. We had just arrived at my parents house after a long drive (being stuck in traffic for 3 hours). They live by the river on a quiet street that has huge movie like street lamps (I feel like I have to explain it or it will sound tacky- everyone always laughs when I tell them because they picture like a regular street). We got out of the car and I went to the trunk to get my things and he came around the side, and it just started to rain lightly (this was at like 11 at night) and he got his phone out of his pocket and got down on one knee and asked me! I started crying and couldn't even see the picture on his phone and said yes. lol.
So the short version at the end of my parents driveway in light rain. lol

So I can finally say that I am engaged! (Its kinda weird)!
I am so happy!! I designed my ring 6 months ago, and a month later my fiance had it. It took him 6 months to propse! I even found my ring (in the closet) while cleaning (No I wasn't snooping and I didn't peek at it- although I was tempted as it sat there for months and months!!). I just wanted to share it with everyone, I can't stop staring at it! I am so so so happy with the way that it turned out!
