@KellyLouise: Thank you fellow aussie. I am dying. I have actively NOT tried to re-create them -trying to think positively & it will turn up. I'm away for the weekend, i'll give the entire house an upside down turn (again) before sitting down & trying to remember 10 months worth of data :/

When you do find it, copy everything into google docs. That way you have access to it from any computer and you don't have to worry about losing the USB drive.
@Nic01: I keep losing my work security badge and it keeps finding its way back to me! today I found it in the middle of the road when I came out of my apartment.
This was my biggest fear. If you have to recreate, can I suggest that you use Google docs? That's what we did and it's accessible anywhere and everywhere.
Google docs... do you need gmail account for this? I think i tried setting it up but it got too hard :/ -actually i htin when i tried setting it up i ended up getting a whole heap of junk mail. any suggestions on how i can avoid this?
But i do need to look at it again because if i lose it again, i'll rip my hair out!

@Nic01: Oh. I thought you meant that through some kind of disaster you had lost all of your money and your guests had bailed on you. Gosh, just think of how much worse it could be!

@Nic01: I'm sorry! At this point, if it doesn't turn up I think you should be trying to generate new spreadsheets before you forget the information. Hopefully, it does turn up soon though!
So happy to hear you found it! I kept my guestlist and budget stuff on the knot, that way I could log into my account from any computer and see all of it. In fact, I just went back and referenced it for addresses for baby shower invites, and it was all still there even though my wedding was in 2011!
@Nic01: You should attach a lanyard to the USB drive. My FI was mad I kept losing my keys so he got me a lanyard s that it stands out :)

@Nic01: You do. What do you mean it was too hard? It takes like two seconds to set up a gmail account and then another five to import things into Google docs. All of my stuff is there so that I can access it at home, work, and on my phone (I have the Google Drive app).
@Nic01: Dropbox is, in simplest terms, a file folder stored on the internet. It has a set amount of space (I think it's like 2gb?) and you can upload stuff into it from any computer. The great thing is that you can also access it from any computer, and it syncs automatically. It's password protected, and completely free for the basic service.
