Oh my gosh, this is just too funny, I had to share. I'm coming down with a cold (awesome right before Christmas), so before bed last night DH suggested I take some Nyquil pills so I could get a good night's rest and hopefully just get through this quickly. I popped a couple of pills, put on my PJs (a tshirt) and got into bed. I read a bit, and then fell asleep. I remember at some point waking up because DH was shaking my arm really hard and I finally said "What??" and he said "Roll over, you're snoring!!!" so I did and fell back asleep again. This morning I wake up because my phone is ringing somewhere, so I'm searching for the phone because it's fallen on the floor somewhere and I'm still pretty groggy, and I realize I'm not wearing any clothes. What?! I find the phone and it's DH. I'm laughing uncontrollably and ask him why I'm naked and what in the world happened last night! Apparently I was thrashing around in bed, talking in my sleep, snoring, grinding my teeth, etc SO MUCH that DH had to go sleep on the couch. He left our bedroom door open a bit in case I needed anything, but I was still so loud that he couldn't sleep. Poor guy. And I suppose at some point I overheated and decided to take off my PJs?! LOL! No more Nyquil for me.... Anyone else have any crazy Nyquil nights?!

It was so funny when I was searching for the phone and had a moment of "Wait.... something's not right..." and then realized I didn't go to bed naked but now.......... LOL! Jeez it sounds like DH missed a show when he moved out to the couch!

That's hilarious!  I actually sleep much better when I take nyquil (about once or twice a year when sick) because it just knocks me out cold!

@Jenn23: I feel like I got a good night's sleep..... But according to DH it certainly sounds like I didn't. He tried to make a recording of me on his phone, but it didn't work. That would have been pretty funny though ;)

@mrs.jk: That's crazy! Do you remember in the morning all that happened?! I don't remember anything other than the one time DH woke me up.

@bakerella: That's funny! Too bad the recording didn't pan out. That would have been a treat for you to watch. hehe

One time in high school I was not feeling well and my mom gave me some theraflu, well it gave me the biggest buzz. We were watching Hocus Pocus and I laughed so hard I fell of the couch.

Hahaha Nyquil realllly messes with me, too, if that makes you feel better :-). It's almost like i'm high on it - it's not good. I don't take it anymore!

that's hilarious. apparently i snore and thrash a lot more when i go to bed when i'm a bit tipsy.  with nyquil, i go straight to dead-as-a-doornail passed out.

That is hilarious.  I love Nyquil.  Perhaps that is a strange statement to make but for some reason, it is the best part of being sick.  It totally knocks the cold, and me, out.  It is fantastic.  Ok... I am crazy

@crayfish: I'm not sure if it's the remnants of the Nyquil or just my cold, but it's taking me about 5 seconds longer to process anything today. It's awful (and kind of funny at the same time)!

LOL!  I took Thera-flu once and was soooo groggy the next morning that when I tred to sit up I literally fell face first into my pillow.  Waffle had to help roll me over cause my head felt like Jello and each appendage felt like it weighed a ton.

@mrs.jk: i've experienced the bug thing too.  Not fun.

@bakerella: yep, i usually remember and feel really silly about it. about half-way through the "ooooooh myyyy god there are bugs in our bed!" chaos, i start to realize that i'm hallucinating or something so i sheepishly lay back down and go back to sleep. i'm always completely convinced, though, that i really truly am seeing bugs and get so irritated when the boy tells me that there's nothing there.

@waffle: gah, isn't it awful!? i don't get where it comes from!

Haha that's pretty funny!  I haven't ever taken Nyquil but I took a sleeping pill once that was given to me right after I had laser eye surgery.  Unfortunately it didn't really put me to sleep it more like paralyzed me and made me an idiot for a few hours!  Once during the evening I had to go to the bathroom and bf found me crawling along the floor on the way to the bathroom, mumbling about something and feeling around with my eyes closed.  LOL.

Ugh, yeah me and NyQuil have quite a history. The best was a few weeks ago in trying to treat a bad head cold I had (and still have, grr). I took the shot of NyQuil, went to sleep/passed out, woke up in the morning, curled up in a ball at the foot of the bed. I was under the covers, but down where my feet usually are. I asked my husband how I got down there, and he said that about 20 minutes after I went to sleep, I sat up in bed, said "Oh man, I've got to migitize!!!" (like, a midget), then scrunched down to the foot of the bed, curled up and stayed there all night. LOL

This isn't about NyQuil, but another medication because I couldn't stop coughing.  I hadn't been feeling well so I was sleeping most of the weekend.  Well, Monday morning came and I really needed to go to mandatory class and there was a quiz.  I took half the dose of the cough medicine and drove to school (about 20 minutes away).  As I was walking into the school, I was starting to feel a big "funny" - like completely drunk! I had to sit through class - sitting in the front row - feeling like I was going to pass out the entire morning.  Then, I took the quiz and literally failed it because I couldn't understand what the words meant.  The sentences just had no meaning to them at that point, and I was just like "ok, whatever!"  I stuck around school until the medicine wore off - I certainly was in no condition to drive!

NyQuil makes me so drowsy and I've been known to have some interesting dreams when taking it.

Great story!  Nyquil used to have that affect on my college roommate!  She would freak out and talk in her sleep and get some wild nightmares.  I could never figure it out because the girl could drink all the redbull and vodka in the world when we went out and never had a problem... But nyquil made her crazy!!!

I've definitely had something like that happen to me on a NyQuil night. Waking up naked included!! You bet I slept well, though.

LOL! Nyquil makes me loopty loo!  The last time I took it I barely remember getting out of bed in the middle of night, opening a loaf of bread, and eating slice after slice while standing in the middle of the kitchen floor!!  Then I took a shower in the dark...crazy!!!

I try and stay far away from the 'Quil, cause I'm afraid of what I may end up doing next!
