Good for you!! Isn't a great when you take almost a risk and it turns out perfectly :)
Yay! That's so cool that it all worked out! Can't wait to see pics :-)
I am so happy that it all worked out for you! I can't wait to see the pictures :)
Thanks Ladies!
That's my dyed jacket - my apologies for the bad cell phone pic - it is a caramel color in the light and just a shade or two darker than my dress. I'll post when I get my dress back from its final alterations. :)

... and I'm so freaking excited about the results. I have a really simple dress in a color called angora, which I love, but it just didn't feel right at the last fitting, or rather I felt like it was missing something.
Way back when I was dress hunting, I fell in love with the lace jacket on this dress at DB, but didn't love the dress on me and didn't want to spend that much. So, about 2 weeks ago I found the jacket (alone) on-line. I ordered it in ivory and it's beautiful, but the ivory looked so white against my dress. One package of RIT Dye later and crossed fingers and it looks AMAZING. The lace and the tulle of the jacket took the tan colored dye beautifully and I finally feel like my dress has what it needed.
I love it when a plan comes together! I'll post pics soon!
