awesome tags and you can STILL incorporate them into your scrapbook after.
Love any and all things "wishing"! (Plus your little tags look beautiful.)
We'll be doing both -- a "scrapbook"/"coffee table book" filled with pictures of us for guests to write in, as well as "wishing rocks" (they'll be given them during the ceremony in lieu of a ring warming, and we'll provide paint pens for them to write on them with, and then chuck into a little serenity fountain/pond.
Love the idea. Something you can cherish later. Just a word to the wise. If you are planning on keeping with the tree theme please do not but the seating cards hanging off a tree. I went to a wedding where they had that and it took forever to find any of the cards. Everyone was huddled under the tree trying to find theirs. But if they are just placing their best wishes on the tree you wont have any problems with that.
lol!
"And really ladies, are ANY of our ideas or decisions set in stone? Um, no."
AMEN!
Thank you all so much for your compliments. I REALLY appreciate it. We all know how much work we put into little things like this that have such a big importance for us. I also have to give credit to my sisters and mom for helping me though. I didn't do them on my own.
@starcharades: Thanks for the heads up, we won't be doing that though. I can totally see how frustrating that would have been.
@LLauRRa: I just noticed we're date twins!
So adorable! Good job on those!!
I'm glad I read this thread! I was hoping to do my escort cards on a tree-like thing..glad to know it doesn't work out too well! Jezzybell...I may steal your wishing tree idea :)
I love wishing trees. I love that you mixed the cardstock and the heart stamp is too cute! Great job!
Thanks everyone again for your comments!!
@littlebug: Steal away!! Isn't that why we're here!!??
@sweetkate: I think it took us a couple of hours. I punched them, my mom hole punched, my sister cut the string and my other sister tied and we pretty much all stamped. Then at the end we all did a bit of everything. I totally had a work line going!!
I think the best part of DIY is getting together with loved ones and making it all happen. Ya know?! There's nothing like quality family time.
=)

I was totally set on the idea of having a scrapbook as my guest book, but I fell in love with the Wishing Tree. And really ladies, are ANY of our ideas or decisions set in stone? Um, no.
So here are the tags that we made for the tree which I will then incorporate into my wedding scrapbook.
What do you think?
