Ah, the Rachael dress... lovely.
I think you should go for comfort rather than style on this one. No one will see your feet in that dress. I really hope you do not go with #2, they realllly don't compliment your dress. Whats the height difference between you and your BMs?
I love those flats! Where are they from? I agree that no one will see whether or not you're wearing heels with the fullness of your gown. Go with comfort!
You're dress is beautiful! And you definitely need to go with the second pair!! I love them!!!!lol
They will go great with your dress, and I find peep toes are actually pretty comfortable as long as you don't take them off and put them on over and over.
One is an inch shorter than me, another about 3 inches shorter & the other two are about an inch taller than me. Most of them are wearing 3 inch heels!
Yea, the 2nd pair, while I love them are much more appropriate with my rehearsal dress. I think I am going that route.
Either #1 or #3. I don't personally care for the heels in pic #2. #3 would be my first choice, but it definitely needs a shoe clip of some kind to dress it up.
I spotted these on Zappos. They're pretty cute and look like they'd be comfy as the heel is just shy of 2 inches.
@PortlandBride - they're from Payless from the Lela Rose line about 2 years ago. I bought them for an event and have never worn them. Sigh!
They aren't the most comfortable of flats (no support) but I think some inserts could correct that problem. Who knows!
@emmalina - I've eyed those up too! I think they're also really cute & have a vintage-y vibe I'm going for.
Even though I absolutely love the first pair, I would probably go with the third pair. Only because your concerned about height. I don't think they would be too uncomfortable, the heel isn't sky-high, and the metalic material ties in with your head band and the beading on your dress. Maybe you could add a bow to the back of the shoe to dress them up since you think they're missing something. I think they're perfectly fine on their own though!
You could always wear the flats to the reception!

I don't really like the grey shoes but I can see how you're trying to tie the rhinestones on the dress and headband in. What about shoes in a different color with rhinestones on them?
Oh, what about these? Grey and rhinestones. These in silver satin?
I say go with shoe 2 and switch to shoe 1 during the reception or whenever your feet start hurting!
On thing I wonder about when it comes to wearing a high heel at the ceremony & flats later when your tootsies hurt is what to do about the length of the dress? There's a 3 inch height difference between the shoes, so does that mean 3 inches of my dress will drag on the floor? A bustle can't lift up that much material all around the dress, can it?
@sapphirebride - those shoes are grogeous, but my poor feet haven't worn shoes with a heel higher than 3 inches in about 5 years. Plus, the ceremony & photos will all occur in the grass or on gravel, which also might not work with 4 inch heels!
just wanted to say your dress is super gorgeous! and i like the flats a lot, but if you're going for height I'd pick #3
I don't care for any of those, except the second but not for your wedding dress. have you looked into silver slippers or silver strappies? the other rond toe are too too casual.. and the slippers looke like bedroom slippers...
I pick #3 i think they look great with the dress.. you just need to make sure they are comfortable
Its so funny, we are dress twins, and are doing similar things for accessories. Im going with peep toe flats, and my late grandmother's aquamarine coctail ring...and no veil! How funny that so many things are similar! :)
As far as the shoes go, I say go with what you will be happiest in. Im wearing flats because I am 5" taller than my bridemaids and about 1" taller than my groom, so heels just wont work (plus they are comfy and easy to dance in).
@soontobekatieb - AND I am minimooning in your town! Las Vegas!
By the way ladies, I purchased option #3 today . . . I hope that they look good & are comfortable. Now I'm coming up with ideas to jazz them up. Maybe a little flower on each shoe. And, I really want these heart sole stoppers!

ooo i LOVE the 2nd heels! but all 3 choices u could wear again
btw....your dress looks amazing on you!!

So, I have been very decisive during this whole planning period thus far. But, I cannot make a decision regarding my shoes, which is just driving me crazy!
I already have 2 contenders that I really like, but something just doesn't seem right.
Pic #1. Flats - all my girls are wearing heels, so I feel like if I wore flats, I'll look much shorter than them, even though I'm not. I also do think a little heel helps to lift posture up a bit and will make me not feel as though I'm swimming in my skirt so much, so maybe a heel wouldn't be so bad. The main pro about the shoes is everything else is perfect, except for the no heel!
Pic #2. Heel - I love these! But, the peep toe isn't super comfortable on me to make it through a whole day of standing. And, the main thing is that I feel like they just don't go with the overall feel of my dress & accessories. I'm thinking maybe they're better for the rehearsal dinner. The pro - I love them, the thicker heel is more conducive to standing in the grass for my ceremony (less chance for sinking in the grass) and they give me a little height.
So, now I am looking for a new pair of shoes that are either gray or silver, with a heel lower than 3 inch and are closed toed. Oy!
Pic #3. Right now I'm eyeing these up and thinking I could jazz them up with some kind of fabric flower or something. I just feel like they might be missing something. Pro - heel lower than 3 inches, my color & closed toe, has a round toe which my fiance likes.
OR . . . So I go with something else? Any shoe suggestions?
Here is my dress & accessories:
Something blue - cocktail ring
Heaband in lieu of a veil
I'd love your input or advice!
