Weddingbee boards

In the months preparing for my wedding, I was introduced to this wedding site by a random link on another site. Before weddingbee I was on the the knot, weddings etc....this was sooo much better. I never participated in bloggin because I was too busy with work and pretty crabby about dealing with wedding stuff overall.

And now it's all over woot woot... so why am i posting post wedding?

looking back, when we were stuck and needed a suggestion/reference for something weddingbee always came to the rescue with an answer or vender details.Thanks ladies.

I thought it only be right to do the same.

So here's our wedding in a nutshell. scale of 1-10

Location:10

-Battery Gardens (nyc), waterfront restaurant in lower manhattan with great views, gorgeous sleek interior and amazing food

Wedding planner: 9

-Sook Yeung, gets a 9 because she is new to the game, but fresh, creative & hardworking and makes sure that you worry about a thing on the day of. (more organize than an excel program

Flowers:10

-Stylish events, based in nyc primarily used in indian weddings, however after going to a friends wedding i had to use him...a little hard to get in touch with sometimes by phone( because we dealt with the owner only) but has never failed to produce amazing work. He won't put out anything ugly because it's his rep. He can give you nbollywood extravagent or nyc simple chic.We used orchids and roses for a very reasonable price.

Makeup/hair:christine vega/gonzalo 10/8

-10 Christine vega, after being swindled by other makeup artist, i found christine in the MAC store. our convo basically went something like:

Me:I love your makeup ( peering uncomfortable close to her face)

Christine:  (smiles) thanks

Me: can you do mine like that? ( still breathing on her cheek)

Christine: yeah sure

-8, gonzalo..i will get you his last name. He's good, gets the style down pact, only issue lasting power, my hair did not hold up all night. it may have just been my hairstyle though, becasue my mother's did very well.

Music: doochie dee productions

-1, for showing up. He was overbearing and obnoxious. he actually grabbed the mic out of the best mans hands because he didnt get to introduce him. Nightmare, suddenly did not know how to use itunes, also told me the cd i gave him months in advance was blank, which it wasn't...and it turned out he was trying to squeeze us for more money. Luckily because of sook and the battery gardens team our guest were oblivous to all this.

Things we made: invitations, save the dates, boutenierres, bouquets, flower girl outfits, my veil. more pics to come !
