thats a pretty harsh situation.. did he mean it just in passing? or was he dead serious. My FH used to joke that he wasnt going to propose and our wedding would be years away. Used to say it ALL the time.. then on my birthday. He proposed! just out of the blue!.
Hed been saying it for the pure suprise factor.
Maybe hes doing the same for you?
But i seriously cant think hes dead serious on that.
I would buy him every antismoking drug in the chemist and wrapping them up in little presents.. hint hint!
Maybe its his way of steering you away from thinking its this weekend.. You never know!!
I just ordered a quit pack (government supported stop smoking program) in S's name. Hopefully when that arrives in the mail he will get the hint that if he is waiting to quit before proposing he better quit soon!!

Hello waiting bees, :)
I was feeling pretty confident that a proposal was coming my way this weekend. It was our (2nd) one year dating anniversary yesterday, and as we were both busy (him working, me seeing Taylor Swift in concert!!) we are celebrating with a big surprise date on Saturday.
But then, last night, in bed, S says this: 'I'm not going to propose til I quit smoking.'
WTH. Seriously, no warning or anything, we were talking about the concert before he came out with that.
S smokes at work, with his band, and maybe one or two at home. He never smokes around me, and its always outside. I hate that he smokes, but I try not to nag him about it too much. He didn't smoke last time we dated and said he actually took it up again when we broke up because he was sad. (awww) So I know he can quit, but now I don't know how I will be able to stop myself from nagging him!
I don't know what to think. Help me bees.
