@MrsRevolutionize:  this is what happened to me! i ordered mine last august and was quoted 16 weeks, and it arrived in 10 days – 7 months before my wedding! its been safe in my closet waiting for alterations ever since. enjoy! i went in the minute it came in and tried it on/brought it home! so exciting!

keep in mind when/if you’re planning on bridal portraits — you might want it ready sooner.. my photo package came with a session and an enlarged pic for my reception and I reallllllly left it took close for the alterations to feel comfortable!

@MrsRevolutionize:  its a good idea to go try it on now. that way you can see how much (if any) needs to be done with alterations. i had my first fitting about a month before the wedding, so i think 2 months sounds about normal unless you plan on changing things majorly like necklines, cutting off the train…. adding sleeves… things like that i think should start as early as possible to make sure they are done and done correctly. but if its just nipping and tucking here and there should be fine.
