  • Wedding: February 2014

Hi Jade!  I got married on February 1st this year, in the middle of a snow storm haha. We did black, white, silver, and gold for colors (tried to be simple and elegant). I didn’t really pick my dress based on a winter theme, but I did have a cape which really went with the snow.

  • Wedding: January 2015

I am! I am! I am getting married in January 2015. My dress is a lace fit and flare with a portrait back. I and my bridesmaids will be wearing fur shawls. My colours are plum, champagne gold and ivory, with moss green accents. My ‘theme’ is candlelight. Instead of bouquets, my bridesmaids will be carrying lanterns with candles.

I love planning for a winter wedding! Its so romantic.

Is it just the three of us? I kind of wish winter weddings were more popular. Although it leaves the great discounts for us!!

Technically I’m not having a winter wedding, but my sister is and I’m doing most of her planning so it’s kind of like mine lol.  She will be married on December 27th this year.  It’s a winter wonderland theme and I’m bringing in a lot of light blues and silver, picture white christmas trees with silver centerpieces (silver twig looking things with little silver balls) They are really pretty in person.  We also picked a cake that is white with some blue snow flakes on it and a blingy band wrapped around the base.  She has a lace fit and flare dress and will have a knitted wrap for her shoulders, and each bridesmaid will get a wrap too.  We are also getting some faux Ugg boots and we’re going to paint on our roles (bride, moh, bm) and when we’re outside on the day of we’ll wear those because it’s going to be so cold.

Our main things will be blue, silver, and snowflakes.

  • Wedding: March 2014 - A castle!

I ended up having a surprise winter wedding when it snowed in March! My colors were purple/silver/ivory. I had a brooch bouquet and my bridesmaids each had 1 long stemmed Calla lily. I ended up buying a shawl the last minute, and it worked perfectly. The pictures with the fresh fallen snow in my ivory dress turned out to be really pretty.

SoontobeMrsAJ:  We are!  December 13th 2014! We live in Michigan so it will definitely be winter.  We are doing a very very rustic theme.  Lots of deer, fish, antelope mounts etc.  So our colors will be browns, greens, and reds.  My maids will be black pencil skirts with a dark green or red sweater.  They get to decide their shoes but they have to be the same, or the same style at least.  I will be wearing my mothers dress that I have transformed, I will also be getting gray uggs since we will have snow and I’m not very fond of heels 🙂

SoontobeMrsAJ:  I’ve got my venue, photographer and dress so far. I have a lot of things picked out, but haven’t gotten them officially booked yet. My mom and I are going to do some more wedding planning in July.

I posted a bunch of my inspiration pics in this thread.

  • Wedding: A very pretty church.

Didn’t notice this was for 2014! Sorry for butting in 😛

27/12/2015 is the plan, South of England, hoping it will be frosty but dry, very unlikely to be snowy. The church and hotel will still have their Christmas decorations up! No complaints here 🙂

NOTE: I did not get my dress from the company who’s name is on the picture, but its the only picture of my dress I could find online. Also, I plan to add red to the dress…

December 27, 2014 here. Texas does not get bitter cold in December, last Christmas after mass we went to the riverwalk and ate outside (now, granted, they did have the patio heaters on ….). My dress is long sleeved (which I wanted no matter what the season because I have chunky arms). My colors are (of course lol) Red, Green, White and Silver. Yes, one of the benefits is that the party room we booked is a christmas spectacular for decorations so it saves a ton of money on decorating. Plus, I will go on the 26th and go get all the fresh pointsettias half off for the chapel. =)

Yay winter weddings!! My wedding is on 12/12/14 and we are doing white and silver with touches of a darker red. My dress is crystal beading on the top and a full tulle ballgown on the bottom. I hope to have snowflakes on my cake.
