If you’re 8 days past your period, take a test! That way you’ll know for sure!

Take a pregnancy test, that way you know for sure if you need to be taking a prenatal vitamin regularly and avoiding foods/alcohol/etc.

You are far enough past ovulation that any test should be reliable at this point, you don’t need an extra sensitive one because you are significantly overdue. I do know most bees tend to stay away from any blue dye test, so run out and buy a pink one tonight and POAS tomorrow morning!

@babycakes24:  First response early result is the gold standard, but if you’re really 8 days late any test will do, even a dollar store one.

I was sick in my first trimester as well, and my OB pretty much said that babies are good little parasites.  They’ll take what they need from their host most of the time.

@babycakes24:  You can. I didn’t because I wanted to surprise him in a cute way.

@babycakes24:  I didn’t pee in the room w/ him, but showed him after.  It’s easier (at least for me) to pee into a (throw away) cup then on the stick.  Good Luck!

@babycakes24:  these posts are usually a girl 3 dpo reading into every twinge. 8 days is seriously late. None of us are going to be able to tell you anything besides it is time to test. I would go with a first response test.
