Yay! Good for you!! I just recently started running too, and it sure feels great after a good jog! Keep going, stick with it, and you’ll feel terrific. Maybe you could look into running a 5km race down the road? It would be a good goal to work towards, and you’re already well on your way! 🙂

That’s impressive! I can’t wait to start running again. Before my surgery I was doing the exact same thing. I first started walking/running almost two miles. I was finally able to run the first mile and slowly started working my way up. It’s such a sense of accomplishment.

Good for you! I’ve always been an awful runner myself and two miles seems like FOREVER. I did a 5K once and wanted to die afterwards… and much as I wanted to enjoy running, I just never could. I’m glad you were able to find it!

congrats!!!! i’m in the same shoes as you- i have run a bit throughout my life, but always hated it and never ran more than a mile or so straight.  i started the c25k program 6 weeks ago, and this week i have been running 25 minutes straight!!! it’s such an awesome feeling!!! i also signed up for my first 5k in august, i’m sure it’ll be a blast.

@jlpalumbo:  Awesome!! I just started running three weeks ago too, and isn’t it such a good feeling when you pass milestones? Best of luck to you!
