ok, so most of you know my fiance and i are young. i was so stressed out for the past year about how i'm going to be working full time and he's going to university full time and working part time. i just didn't have faith that we could have a comfortable living. i know we can pay rent and all the bills but as for savings i wasn't so sure. i talked to my fiance last night and he said that the financial aid office said that they will cut him a check in the fall since he won't live on campus. the amount will be very decent and will pay at least our rent for over two years. i'm soooo amazingly happy. thank you for reading, i just wanted to share the lovely news!

Awesome news!!! Make sure that you check the interest rate on the loan and that it isn't a private loan. When I was about 19 I signed a private loan, but I didn't read the fine print and the loan can increase to up to a 100% interest rate.  If it is a federal loan, then that's great news they have the most forgiving repayment schedule.

That is wonderful news :)  I'm glad to hear that everything worked out.

When I was your age, I was single and so worried about just paying my own rent... I can't imagine the stress of being married and worrying about the two of you on top of that.  I'm so glad that it worked out - starting out a marriage with worries like that could never be easy.  Best wishes to you both!

I'm so glad that things worked out for you!  That's definitely a huge load off!

We are both young as well and my husband is in school while I'm working, so i understand how tight things can be!  We're just making ends meet, but it's been a fun time of being thrify and creative and spending lots of time together at home.  We knew it won't last forever!
