I think your dress will be fine for a small wedding - the decor doesn't revolve around how many people you will have, in my opinion - if you love it, then it's the right dress regardless of price!
I think you should wear the dress. I don't think the number of guests you have should dictate they style dress you wear. I saw girls on the beach in St. Lucia in ball gown type dresses. And they only had themselves and maybe two-six people with them. So whatever you feel the best in and makes you feel like a bride is what you should wear!
Its not so much the size of your wedding as much as the formality. You could have a cocktail reception for 50 people and that dress would be perfect, but brunch for 150 and you might feel overdressed. I'm always of the opinion that you should wear whatever you feel gorgeous in.
The price isnt that bad 1000 i was thinking if i changed my dress i could get a cheaper one too but I love love love my dress a lot.
I feel like its a high class dress (even though i am broke and have no money to throw a fancy wedding) i feel like when i am in this dress i should have this big nice wedding ugg see i am so torn so many feelings involved.
Thanks ladies i really appreciate all of your advice and now i feel better staying with my dress i am also thinking maybe i should hire a wedding planner maybe thats why i feel so overwhelmed.
You'll probably lose your deposit money so that could set you back more even with a cheapier dress. I say if you are so in LOVE with the dress then go with it. You can have a nice reception without having to spend tons of money and it still seem like a fancy party.
Hey I had a small wedding and stil had a fancy dress! You can still have an elegant wedding without having a ton of guests!
I had a small wedding and a fancy dress. No need to change dresses!
You should wear your dream dress. It doesn't matter how big or small your wedding is. We are having no more than 50 guests, and I am wearing a huge ballgown. It is your day, and you should do whatever you want.
I'm going to give you my mom's advice, "It's your wedding you get to wear whatever you want. You could show up naked with tassles covering your goodies and no one's allowed to say anything! It's you day!" So I say go for it.
I don't see why you might need to get a different dress. I see it as "a bride wears whatever the heck dress she wants to!"
I HAVE 55 PEOPLE AT MY WEDDING. I AM WEARING A MAGGIE SOTTERO FANCY GOWN. JUST BECAUSE YOU DONT HAVE A ZILLION PEOPLE DOESNT MEAN ITS NOT A NICE WEDDING!! :)
you should definitely wear the dress you love! The size of the wedding should definitely not dictate what you feel comfortable and beautiful wearing. so, i say stick with the dress you love
wear the dress! it's beautiful and I think it will fit either occasion. My dress is formal, but we are having a small wedding...but even though the wedding is smaller, the wedding itself is still quite formal.
stick with the dress!
I HAD 14 GUESTS AT MY WEDDING AND HERE'S MY DRESS!
Wear whatever will make you feel like a bride on your wedding day and be happy!
Thank you!! Wasn't fishing for compliments though; just showing you that even with not too many guests, you can have a gorgeous, traditional gown!
Yours will look amazing on your wedding day.
My dress is pretty formal and fancy. We're having a nature themed wedding and getting married in front of a fireplace. Our guest list is only 50. But I loved THAT dress, so it's what I'll be wearing!
