Awwww man. I wanted SO badly to surprise Darling Husband with tickets to the Toronto Maple Leafs playoff game (1). I was so anxious that I didn’t even notice that when I purchased the tickets on Ticketmaster, it didn’t even occur to me why the price was so cheap!!
I ended up accidentally buying LACROSSE tickets. *sigh*
I was able to get a refund but now all the playoff tickets are sold out and the resellers are charging upwards of $400 a ticket.
The last time the Leafs were in the playoffs was 9 years ago. I totally screwed up this surprise and I am so mad at myself.

Keep looking! When I needed tix for the Bruins playoff, I waited and found some cheap enough on some of the reselling sites.

Try Craigslist. If you explain your story, someone might sell you theirs that they can’t use at face value.

That sucks 🙁 I can’t believe that the Leafs are in the playoffs for the first time in forever, and they jacked their playoff ticket prices up by 75% I heard. Way to thank the fans that have stuck by you in your…shall I say…less than stellar times.
Maybe you can win some through a radio station or something?

@MademoiselleL: Yea, the average ticket was around $200 each. Resellers jacked the average ticket up to $450 each or more.
