MsGinkgo:  We’ve been getting a fair amount of snow (nothing compared to the Buffalo blizzard or anything!) and lately we’ve been going to bed early and cuddling with tea and movies 🙂

MsGinkgo:  Im in Buffalo, thankfully on the not so snowy side of the city, so it’s business as usual and went into work. I wish I had a snow day!! I have wedding planning to do!

Lbward6:  I like your thinking.

I ate pasta last night and had a bourbon on the rocks. I never eat pasta but, it was cold.. Snowy and I biked home so I was feeling very carby.

MsGinkgo:  Yeah it’s so crazy, people who live a five minute drive from us are trapped in their houses and we are going out to dinner lol. One of my girlfriends was stuck in her car for 30 hours, and I was looking at the sun.

We’re in Michigan, not Buffalo, but tonight we’re watching Elf to plan our Christmas party and making apple pie for my mom’s birthday tomorrow.

Crank the heat up to 75, make brownies and {if my boys are home} the 4 of us play Monopoly.  If it’s just the two of us, cuddling under the blanket and watching old movies. {I have a HUGE collection thanks to Amazon.}

Snow is money falling from the sky in our house. It snowed here today so while DS was at school I shoveled sidewalks. When he was done with school BF and I switched and I was in the truck and the little kiddo gets to ride shotgun in the regular cab in his seat and we plow together. It’s some of my favorite times with him because it’s just me and a six year old for several hours to chat about life and all kinds of things. Depending on the amount of snow and if I’m working that day we usually do some part of the same routine. The crappy part is that depending on the weather BF can be gone for up to 48 hours at a time and he’s awake the entire time, so he’s always exhausted and he misses out on a lot. Snow doesn’t care if it’s the holidays or whatever. You just have to go. I refer to myself as a snow widow.

Start up the woodstove and watch the snowfall over the lake as it ices up. Once the ice is thick, the kids have a good time sliding all over it. We also go fishing and sledding. Last winter was so cold with all those polar vortexes it was hard to get outside. We ran out of wood in March and had to use the propane. That got expensive and we ended up with some major cabin fever!
