Weddingbee boards

It finally happened ladies... he proposed tonight!!  I'm absolutely floating on cloud 9 right now.  Everything was absolutely perfect and I am so in love with this man.

So... the story.

We went out to dinner with my lovely grandparents, then headed out to our special spot at a state park that has a huge outcropping of rocks that overlook a river.  I was a tad suspicious, but tried to put it out of my mind.  We finally got there and hiked to the top.  As we sat overlooking the river, we were really quiet, then I started taking pictures before the sun actually set.

As I was doing that, he went to put his backpack down, then he says, "hey Piglet, I've got something to ask you."  For some reason it just did not click that this was THE moment, so I said, "um.. ok, hang on a sec, I've gotta take this picture." HAHAHA... I mean really??  What was I thinking! :)

But then, I turned around, saw the ring, saw him kneeling down... and freaked out!  He actually asked somewhere in there too, but I just could not believe it was for real.  I kept asking if he was serious and if it was a joke and to PLEASE be serious and NOT be joking. :) 

He did the coolest thing with the ring.  He had bought a special Nalgene bottle (to represent out outdoorsy selves) that he had kept for 2 years to use when he proposed... freakin adorable.  Inside the Nalgene, he put a block of floral foam, totally surrounded by rose petals.  He put the ring on top of the foam, and he had a special cap with a light.  As he asked, he turned on the light, making the inside light up and the ring just sparkle.  It looked amazing!!

It was beautiful and perfect and so us.  I'll post pictures soon, I promise but for now, my ring is a 3 stone with side pave stones.  It's amazing, and so is my new fiance!!  Thanks so much for all your support during my time of waiting and I can't wait to hear your stories!  It's really so, so worth any amount of waiting you have to go through. :)
