My boyfriend has been planning a romantic date for a month now and Found coverage for his third shift a month ago now this crappy lady calls the day before (today) to say she can’t work for him because she has something to do tonight when she wouldn’t be covering until tomorrow!!! I’m 5000% sure he was going to propose and now he’s canceling all our reservations because this lady doesn’t feel like working! I’m about to lose it… ='[

(((hugs))) I would be mad too. Hand in there lady! There is always a plan B, and it will be worth it when you have that rock on your finger and a man to call fiance. 🙂

@Vivere: He might surprise you really soon, you know. . . I’ve heard stories (on here, really recently) of things like that happening and it happened the same evening anyway. So you never know. . .
But I definitely understand how infuriating that must be. Stupid work! 😛

Thank you ladies! I’ve calmed down a bit mainly because he said he can reschedule it to Saturday and it would be without any frees.
I just picked up my best friend to go shopping and she asked me to go to dinner with her around the same time my boyfriend anwere had reservations…. I also accidently discovered last night the dinner reservation email was for 5 people instead of 2 and he just said they heard him wrong but now I’m wondering if this is part of it? Ill kick his butt if it is!!!!
if it happens or not Ill be fine I just didn’t want to lose our date night when we don’t get that many to begin with!

@Vivere: Glad you guys were able to work everything out. It sounds like your guy is a sweetheart. Just try and be patient and stay calm. It will happen when it happens and not a moment sooner.

@Vivere: If he wants to propose, he will find a window of time. It may not work out exactly the way he planned but it will happen. I got engaged yesterday at 12 midnight. My FI had to work on his days off and all through the weekend and I was so sure that he wouldn’t propose during the holiday season because of his boss. His boss lives in a miserable situation and he didn’t want to be home so he made everyone in his department work around the holidays too. So, that left FI exhausted everyday. But at the stroke of midnight on Christmas day, he did it! You never know what’s in store for you two. And after he asks and you say yes, you two can chat about his plans and laugh a little. It will happen.

Sorry to hear that…but I agree with the others, he will find a way. Plan B may not be the fancy plans you originally had, but at the end of the day, all you want is this man to ask you to be his wife. The other stuff is simply background noise! 🙂 Good Luck!

Well now I feel as though Im comig off as pushy and dying for an engagement whoch couldbt be firther from the truth. I’m not upset about the proposal I was upset we were going to have to cancel and be out what we paid for everything. We’re both full time college students and most weeks work full time (he works third and on weekends so sleeps all day and I work during the week a normal 8-4) so the idea of being out of town for a couple days sounded really relaxing and good for us to stop and enjoy being together.
I mean this in the least negative way possible but I really don’t care if he proposes now or two years from now, I just want him. Me mentioning that in the original post was mostly me throwing myself a pity party I suppose lol.
@TaurianDoll: congratulations! =]
