I absolutely fell in love with a cushion cut halo Moissanite that I recently saw on here. It is honestly the ring that I wanted to be proposed with since I was little. I had left it on my phone and when SO went to use it… The questions started. Long story short. I told him that I absolutely loved the ring and it was my dream ring. He took a screenshot from my iPhone and sent it to his. Later we were playing Xbox and he looked over at me. With the most serious face he said, “will it turn your finger green?” I laughed and told him no and showed him some of the bees moissys. Can anyone give me any first hand experiences that they have had? Plus pictures of your own moissys?

Well, it’s up to him what ring he gets you…so yeah.

I LOVE my moissy, I’ve had it for a while now (2+ years) and it hasn’t changed at all. I purchased mine from a small, local master jeweler. I never plan on changing it and I’m probably not getting a wedding band (I like the side profile too much).

Is he weary or wary? Because I’m weary of all these posts.
Tell him to research it himself, or do some actual research and show it to him. Like anything in life there are pros and cons. Show them to him and let him decide.

I think you meant “leery” or “wary” because “weary” means tired haha I read the title as “Im SO tired of moissanite” lol thought it was about to be a debate.

I think moissanite is amazing. It is so gorgeous, durable, and affordable. Yes, it’s “man made”, but it’s not like they pour a molten liquid into a mold and pop out your stone. It takes 1 month to grow the crystals, then they cut them into the stones you see. It’s pretty incredible. It really comes down to what you value in a stone. I am getting moissanite because this is what I value and want in a stone:
- “white” i.e., not pink, blue, green, etc
- at least 1 ct
- doesn’t cost more than $1,000 or so (which eliminates diamonds since I need 1 ct or more)
- won’t cloud up or change over time
- durability (moissanite is the second hardest stone and the toughest stone)
I recommend you see moissanite in real life before making your decision. I just visited a local jewelry store the other that has moissanite. I was stunned! I love all the rainbow light it gave off. It looked like a little strobe light to me. Some people are turned off by all that glitter, but not me. It depends what you like.

@almostmrj please excuse my typos. I’m using my iphone and it likes to put a lot of silly, random things. He asked me to do research and I have. For me, the pros outweigh the cons I wanted to see what people, who I know haven’t been paid or the testimonials changed, had to say about them.
@peachaid he has already told me he will get whichever he likes and thinks I like. He likes the ring but isn’t sure about the quality.
@housebee thank you for the picture. Your ring is beautiful!! We have already decided to go with a 3/4 eternity band for whichever I get and on our one year get another for the other side. But I have to say. The side profile of yours is gorgous!! Have you thought about wearing the wedding band on the outside? I’ve seen several people do it because they love the profile so much.

@maplecreekbride My iphone decided it wanted that it that a I didn’t catch it. Oops. It is wanting to put some of the most random words on this board. Who knows. It tried to put Afro, young, wild and some Yorkers (See. I left that word. It was suppose to be others)
@hdingmyface I think we were going to look at them on our next trip to atlanta. It shouldn’t be long since football season is around the corner. I told him that I didn’t want a diamond that some poor child had to work for to get. I want it to be ethical and not have to question It. I had been thinking of man made for a while. We had looked at diamond nexus but even on the website, the quality of the Moissanite looks much better than the diamond nexus. The origin of the stone has no meaning to be. I would be proud to say mine is a Moissanite and I know people didn’t have to go through unethical treatment to get it.

@peachacid: What is this even in reply to?
@WrestlersLove: OP, I love my rings… but even though mine is enhanced at 1.25, it shows a lot of color. That may be because it’s been winter here & overcast & cloudy since I have had it, but definitely I think it could be mistaken for a yellow stone at times. I had someone ask me before if it was a yellow diamond.

Just got my loose Amora moissanite that will eventually be the center stone in my engagement ring, and it is GORGEOUS. Seriously, so beautiful. SO loves it, too! And he was definitely a little skeptical at the beginning. But once he saw it, he fell in love with it, too!
Temporarily stuck on a ring so I could see what it looked like with a band:

@WrestlersLove: Diamond Nexus is CZ. If you want CZ, that’s great, but don’t get ripped off by Diamond Nexus.
