Everything you are doing is also what I'm doing and I'm still working on my invites but I'm getting close to being done--I'm getting married in September. I'm also doing cute beverage cards for the dispensers we'll have (iced tea, lemonade, mixed, etc), a fun menu board at the beginning of the buffet line, maybe I'm doing my bouquet but I'm not sure (not having wedding party) and our guest book is actually one of those Quaker Marriage Licenses. My FMIL is going to paint the edges with some pretty stuff, not sure what just yet, but I'll do the pretty lettering and spacing for where every will write their names.
Here's what I've made:
1) Guestbook of engagement photos from My Publisher
2) DIY Party blowers
3) Escort Card Boards
4) Ring Bearer Pillow
5) Reserved signs for the family at the ceremony
6) Centerpieces (DIY'd my votives with decorative package sealing tape and ribbon)
Here's what I'm working on:
1) Paddle fan programs (partially finished)
2) Giant Moss covered monograms (partially finished)
3) Menus (nothing yet)
4) Candy Buffet (waiting to buy candies after Easter, bought the containers already)
5) Flip Flop Basket (bought the flip flops and got the basket, need to label)
6) Water Bottle labels (designed but need to print out and "laminate" with package sealing tape)
I am DIYing...
invitations
menus
ceremony programs
favors (well i am ordering the boxes online but putting together the bags of candies myself)
So far invitations have gone out (those took SOOOO much work but was worth it - have been getting tons of compliments), I have the paper for the menus but haven't printed and cut yet, and the favors I'm just waiting on the last of the RSVPs so I know how many to order! The programs I'm doing as well, but I'm lost on where to begin with those...
I am doing caramel apples and flowers in jars for my aisle. I will do these a couple days before the wedding. Something like this, although I am using colored flowers.

So far I'm DIYing
I might end up taking on even more, we'll see.
Done/Working on:
-STDs (done & sent out in January)
-Photosharing Cards (printed from Vistaprint)
-Invitations: work in progress (designed but not printed)
-Table Numbers: work in progress (designed but not printed)
-Guestbook (ordered the book, just need to make the scrapbook!)
-Guestbook pens (will probably attach pretty fake flowers to an acid free pen)
Not started (deadline)
-Pew bows (August)...still can't decide if I want these or not.
-Place Cards (September)
-Rehearsal dinner invitations (July)
-Programs (September)
@sboston I honestly would forego the flower on the pen, but that's just me. I've never really liked having to hold floral tape (the texture bugs my skin) or tape. I dunno, just feels weird to me and if you're not careful it makes the pen top heavy and can mess up people's writing as they try to compensate.
Woooow! You ladies are DIY super STARS! We're spending a bunch on the venue, food, & DOCs, so we're mostly just DIYing the paper stuff.
Umm...I think I have a BUSY Spring Break coming up! Good Luck with your projects, 'bees!
eeek.. im only doing
Table numbers (done)
favours (working on it)
centerpieces
veil
napkin rings
and earrings for the bridemaids gifts
menus (done)
maybe the cakes? not THE wedding cake, just the one for variety sake
i have two toddlers my time is pretty limited
oh and im also doing river rock escort cards.. umm i guess they are rocks... i got the idea for that right here on weddingbee its a much cheaper alternative
@Toffee...thanks! One less thing for me to worry about. FI thinks it's a dumb idea anyway!
Forgot to add that I am also sewing little purses for my shower hostess gifts. Almost finished with those!
I'm thinking about doing fabric flowers to decorate with, but I'm not sure at this point just how I'd use them to decorate.
@Junebride,
Which fan programs type are you doing? I can't decide!! I really like the ones that actually "Fan" out but they look like to be sooo much more work. And more cutting for the FI. I thought about doing the paddle fan but I'm not in love with the way they look. Or I've seen these that are just one sheet but in the shape of a fan "fanned" out (triangle shape).
I really need to start the rest of my DIY projects. I've been putting them off. Kinda feeling pukey stressed right now so no way i can list them. I might hyperventilate. Hahah.
The DIY for our wedding is a group effort, but here goes:
1) Hair accessory. I made my circlet? tiara? headband? fascinator? out of porcelain flower brooches, an old pearl necklace, and an rose quartz beads. COMPLETE
2) Butterflies for reception hall. I cut out hundreds of butterflies from old greeting and thank you cards, these will be blue-tacked to a wall to serve as a focal piece. COMPLETE
3) Ring bearer pillow and flower girl basket: Haven't started yet.
4) Save the dates: we took photos of ourselves holding a poster that reads "We're getting married! Save the date: May 22, 2010" and then printed them at Walmart. These went in Christmas cards. COMPLETE.
5) Fabric flower garlands (tutorial on Once Wed). Still working on these.
Family DIY
1) Shortbread cookies for favours
2) Home made strawberry-vanilla cake with buttercream icing
3) Quilt 'guest book' (the squares have been cut and are ready to go!)
4) Bridesmaids dresses: COMPLETE (We used a simplicity pattern)
5) Groomsmens vests: still working on it.
6) Centrepieces: we're borrowing tea cups from all my aunties and will buy flowers from the local market the day before the wedding.
7) Cake topper: complete (mum painted wooden peg dolls)
8) Card box: an old mailbox has yet to be painted
9) Corsages and boutonnieres: made by my sister with Princess Lasertron supplies
10) Invitaions: designed and printed by my best friend and Maid of Awesomeness.
I think I add at least two more diy projects to my list on a weekly basis. lol Im on a small budget since my fiance is paying for the wedding.. so im doing a lot! probably too much.. but i like challenges.
-Save the Dates (done and sent out months ago)
-Invitations (just about done. need stamps for response cards and to be sealed and mailed)
-Card Box
-making 2-3 60" round lounge seating, with pillows. (one made, pillows made)

Things I've gotten done so far? none!
Sorry, I'm a bit late joining this party, but these are the DIYs I will be doing:
Paper:
Dress and Accessories:
Decorations:
Flowers:
Music:
Food:
Other:
Probably forgot a few things but that's most of it.
I know I probably sound like a crazy lady, but it's all do-able. We will only be having a small wedding (no more than 40 people) so all the desserts will be no big deal. I'll have plenty of helpers and will only need one small batch of each thing anyway. Also for the salads, I work in food prep so could make salads for 40 people in 10 minutes with my eyes closed.
@JennHasFeet - I wish I could DIY my hair and makeup. That is one area I'm a completely useless in. I think it will pretty much be the only thing that isn't DIY. Anything else I haven't listed we are probably skipping (ie STDs, anything bridal party related).
I am a massive control freak, but the ONLY reason we are having a wedding instead of just eloping is because I want to get crafty with this DIY stuff. It's going to be so much fun!
I have a huge list of DIY stuff, but haven't done any of it except my STDs and invites. I plan to do most of the following:
WOW! My list seems longer than I thought......... Maybe I should get to work, especially since my wedding is in less than 2 months! HELP!
