I’m quite sure I’m getting her a fake fireplace heater. She’s always going on about wanting one (she stays freezing) and her bf has one and its all she talked about the first time I went to his house.
They were just showing them on QVC, and I’m pretty sure this is the one I’m gonna get for her.
I’m also gonna order her a “back fat” bra, because she’s always going on about “I cant wear this, look at my back fat!” Even though I think pretty much everyone has back fat. Madonna even has it. XD

Possibly a manicure set, that’s the only thing she has said she wants so far. Hopefully she comes up with more ideas closer to Christmas!
Her birthday is also in December and as she works in an office and can be in a whole variety of moods throughout the day I have bought her “The Daily Mood”
And she is also a target for insects and mosquitos so I bought her a sonic bug repeller.

Oh hell, my mom is the hardest person in the planet to shop for.
I get her perfume (Obsession), some fuzzy pajamas, and other fail proof mommy favorites. When I try to venture out of the box, my mom scrunches her face up like I boxed up some dog poop and gave it to her for Christmas.
Then proceeds to say, “It’s nice…”

@Jacqui90: That daily mood thing is adorable!

@Torrid: My mom doesnt like any typical “mommy” presents. She doesnt wear jewelry, so I cant get her a mom necklace or ring, everytime I buy clothes for her she just returns them or they just sit in her closet, she doesnt wear perfume.
I bought her a Clinique Happy gift set once because she was always talking about how she loved it but it was too expensive… She still has it sitting there and that was from 2 years ago! Most things I get her now center around keeping her warm. A heated bed pad (that was a huge hit), warm fuzzy house slippers, throw blankets, candles, ect.

We each have a Pandora bracelet and enjoy getting each other beads, so I will probably get her a few of those and probably a nice Philosophy gift set since that is her favorite skin care brand.

This year I’ll be getting my mother a Kindle Fire. I’m also taking the entire family to a play for Christmas. 🙂

@OctBride-2012: Ooh, I want a kindle. I may have to add one to my wishlist. I love plays, so that sounds great! What will you be taking them to see?

Something practical, probably.

This is a good thread for ideas. I have no clue what to get my mom, or my brother for that matter. I’m close with my mom, but I don’t see her often, so I guess I just miss seeing the things she wants/needs on a daily basis.

Mom gets a necklace from Tiffany’s. I mean, she’s waited her whole life for that little blue box, and since she like….got diagnosed with an auto-immune nervous system disorder AND cancer…I figured she needed it.

my mom needs a new generator! that’s her present, as long as I can get a sibling to go in on it with me & fh 🙂

My mum is actually coming to have a mini-Christmas with me and my daughter soon, so we’re giving her some things to open then and then something to open at actual Christmas. So far, my daughter and I have picked out pjs and a scarf; we’re planning to get her a necklace and bracelet from a store we like, and I’ll get her a couple books for her Kindle.

@allyfally: We’re all going to see A Christmas Story 2 days before Christmas. I can’t wait!!

I got a book that has prompts in it, with space for me to fill it in and add photos. She loves stuff like this, so I’m sure she’ll love it!
