I ♥ DH! I'm thrilled ...especially considering that we had a $100 present limit (1st time) and all I gave  him this year is apologies b/c I procrastinated too long and he had nothing under the tree from me. We'll go out shopping for his gift in a few days. I think being 38 weeks pregnant and barely able to walk around is a decent excuse but I still feel horrible, like the world's worst wife.

I got a super fluffy, soft, comfy robe which was originally on our registry and we never got, and some memory foam slippers to match. It's been really cold at our house, and we're trying to save on our heat bill, so it was a very thoughtful gift.

But the best thing is that DH's parents got me a Silhouette SD digital cutter - I'm so excited to break it out and get crafting.

I know this post is older - but I felt like my gift this year from my husband was *really* special and wanted to share.

While planning our wedding (Nov. 2008), i fell in LOVE with my wedding gown and asked my husband if I could purchase the dress even though it was double our budget.  I agreed that if I was allowed to purchase this gown, I would sell the dress after our wedding.  After our wedding, true to my word, i sold the dress to another lucky bride who also loved it.  When the time came, it was more difficult than I had expected to part with it. I also had to ship it to Canada - which was not a simple process.

About 6 months later, I started to get a little weapy and teary when certain things would come up that reminded me that I no longer had my dress.  After about a year of this, he started to realize that I was pretty sad about it. But each time it would happen I felt ridiculous and apologized to him because he felt so bad and said he never should have let me sell it.  He just didn't have any idea i would miss it so much.

Well this year for Christmas, my husband hacked my email account and found the contact information for the woman who had bought my dress.  Her wedding was now over and he asked her to sell him back my dress.  It took him months to make this arrangement with her as she had an attachment to it as well.

On Christmas morning, I opened a huge box with my gorgeous wedding dress inside!  I cried and cried and cried.  It was amazing and so romantic.  I am so grateful to have such a thoughtful husband and I am so happy to have my wedding dress back. :)
