The timezone post made by so_said_ellie got me to thinking....I am noticing a smattering of Aussie Brides across the Weddingbee Boards, but where are all these fabulous Aussie Brides from?

    I'll go first -

I live just South of Newcastle in NSW (Gods Country!  HA, sorry personal joke from when I used to work in Sydney)

@ccranetobe: I have never been to WA, always wanted to go but haven't had the chance yet.  My sisters husband moved from Subiaco to be with her.  Buts that my only distant connection :)

I told my FI about a month ago that when jetstar next do cheap tickets we should get tickets to Perth, fly over get married stay the night and fly home.  He just stared at me blankly (not wanting to bite because he knows that I'm just fishing because we haven't set a date yet). And why Perth? well it sounded like a good idea at the time, I've been to Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide...so why not :D

I live on the Lake (in Bonnells Bay), thats sort of at the bottom end of the Lake when compared to Valentine.

@Firie: Ive been to bonells. Perths nice :)

My town is pretty rural.. Surrounded by beach. And its home to alot of things, you should visit! :D So this is the main street.. and by main street I mean the only CBD street in town. Every business pretty much comes off this street and we have no traffic lights at all :) just roundabouts!  So where are all the Aussie Brides from? : wedding australia Albany Small this is out at Little beach. Kinda like your own little getaway!about a 15 minute drive out of town.

and this is the natural bridge.. and by natural I mean no artificial colors. Just some of the things in my town. I love it, but I hate having it to plan a wedding. I cannot find anything!!

Have i convinced you to move to WA yet???

Wow, its super pretty.  And I love how the town has real character (right down to the street lights).  It really looks like a picture perfect - postcard moment town!!  Maybe I should just book those jetstar tickets and not give the other half a choice. :)

I know love, I've been stalking every day I promise :)

    Just so busy.

We're moving into our newly built house soon (yay!) but so much work!

Spent the morning calling Alinta, e-wire, Telstra, Synergy to set up our power etc, called Freedom to organise our furniture delivery AND managed to book a date to lodge our Notice of Intended Marriage!

Oh, and I just started a new job! Haha. :D

    Soooo busy.

THat's not actually my date, hehe, I'm not sure WHY that's there. I'm January 15 :) We're getting married in the Perth Registry Office beforehand, then jetting of to Ko Samui for our actual "Wedding". Super exciting. I get to have TWO weddings. And get to do all the things here that I can't have on the beach in Thailand (lace minidress, short veil, peonies, heels, photoshoot with my dream photographer) Eee! How about you girls?

Canberra girl here :) We got married in the Snowy Mountains though. I never liked any of the Aussie bride forums, was so excited to find Weddingbee even though by then the wedding was so close. And now it's 7 months later and I still haven't left! I've never been to WA, hopefully one day and if not it will be on me and DH's retirement drive around Australia...

@ccranetobe: Hope your DIY is more fun than mine was - I had a brilliant idea for writing my invitations on folding fans. It was a bit less brilliant by the time I had hand written them all. I think I have learnt my lesson...simple is best!

Hi CCrane!!! Looks like your recruiting a few of us to WA Laughing

I'm flicking in between Weddingbee and researching Sizzix tonight.  I am obsessed with it.  I am trying to justify the cost of the pro size ($650)...If I can convince myself then maybe just maybe I can convince the other half. lol.

I'm in Melbourne. Suburb of Chadstone in the South East. You know that enormous Chastone Shopping Centre 'The fashion capital'? Thats my local shops where I buy bread and milk. :)

We don't know where we are getting married yet. We both have enourmous close knit families and no money. I was hoping to win the $50 million lotto last week, but sadly I didn't win, lol.

    Hi all!

This is an old post but I thought I'd still drop in and say hello.

My home town is on the beautiful mid north coast of NSW, but I'm currently living in Newcastle. Wedding will be right in the middle, keeping a "neutral territory" so meddling in-laws have less leverage to get their way Laughing. Have chosen (but not yet confirmed) a gorgeous venue which only allows 25 people (although I've negotiated up to 40) so we get the small wedding we want. No space for family to add randoms! I'm so excited about our venue! It is exactly what I have been searching for for years (literally, years and years)!

Don't know about the rest of you Aussie bees, but I'm wasting my Saturday night watching hours and hours of the election show! It is strangely interesting!

Hi, I'm a little late to the party, but I'm a Canadian Bride-to-Be with an Aussie fiance getting married in New Zealand!

I live in Sydney, Redfern more specifically, and i'm just getting started on all this wedding stuff.  I have a while to plan so I'm hoping I can stay on top of things and not get overwhelmed.  I'm a little concerned about planning from across the Tasman, but what can you do!

Did any of you watch 4 weddings last night? Such a funny show!

@blossom_bee: ha ha ha thats so funny i did the same thing with my fiance!!  I reckon the wedding at the pub actually looked alright though - and for $5000!!  That would certainly put some extra money in the honeymoon fund ;)

Whoops! I thought I'd filled this in.. months ago, but apparently not! I'm from Sydney - but the western suburbs, out towards the Blue Mountains. The boy & I are moving towards the Hills District next week though, so that'll be an interesting change of pace. Living in London the last few days has made it a little hard to adjust being back in the 'burbs again.. but I love it. Shame I'm not coping real well in the 40o weather!
